I am trying to find a new copy of Castlevania Dracula X The Rondo Of Blood for the Turbografx 16. Anyone know where I may find one?
You do know that this was a PC Engine CD game, right? Won't play on an American TG-16 system without some sort of convertor and you'll still need the CD drive.
Hell, was there such an adaptor? I forget. I shunned away from the PC Engine because of all the awesome yet highly expensive PCE games that never made it to the States. My Saturn has cost me more than enough already.

No converter is needed for import cd's to play (only need converters for arcade cd's and hucards).Originally Posted by fishsandwich

Doesnt acquiring this game require some sort of sacrifice of the testicular kind?

I stand corrected and better educated! I still crave a TurboDuo on certain lonely nights.Originally Posted by ScottK

The only reason you need a converter for the Arcade CDs is beacuse you need to use the Arcade Card to play them, which is Japanese only.
Seeking display quality copy of I Want My Mommy for the 2600... if you have one, PM me, I will pay/trade well.

Yea, it is quite rare.. I'd love to get it myself
I still don’t think it’s a good as Symphony of the night. It is cool however to see the entire story up to SotN though. Too bad it’s all in Japanese, you have to download a translation to know what’s been said.Originally Posted by Strider74
The music is really good, but still not as good as SotN.
Take a hike, wang-broom!
I swear I can smell your stinky hands from here!
yea it is an awesome game.......i seen a few copies on ebay before and they were not cheap
1. Please, PLEASE change your topic title to "WTB: Rondo of Blood".
2. You don't need any gizmo to play import SuperCDROM /Super CDROM2 games on a Turbo Duo/ PCE Duo, yet you will have to have a converter to use the Arcade Card in any american setup (either TG16+CDROM combo or Turbo Duo) and those converters are worth AT LEAST $50 any day of the week.
3. YOU WANT A SEALED RONDO OF BLOOD??? YOU THINK IS GOING TO BE CHEAP???!!!??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA . Be prepared to pay AT LEAST $300. I saw a couple of them go for $500. By now they can skyrocket to whatever they pay.
...No more, it's over, I'm on to you and your evil games...
Dracula X: Rondo of Blood is not rare. It is expensive though.
if you want it, check eBay. There are multiple copies up at any one time. I see at least 4 now.
And, as Archenemy says, if you want new, you will have to wait it out and drop big dollars on it. I'd say $350 would be a magic number.
Yeah, expect to pay $300 minimum for a sealed one. If you JUST want it to play, buy a pristine mint one from someone for $150 or so. You'll save yourself enough to buy a spare Panzer Dragoon Saga
Oh yeah, and it's BETTER than SOTN IMO MUCH better.

Sorry for the misunderstanding...no, i don't want a sealed copy of the game. I will take whatever I can find Also, thanks for the heads up on adding WTB to the title.
I was a big fan of SOTN as well. I think my 3 favorite versions of Castlevania would have to be Simons Quest on NES, Super Castlevania 4 on SNES, and SOTN on PSX. Although I like every one of them.
As far as it being in Japanese, thats not a big problem. I have an engineer friend where i work who is from Japan and speaks both Japanese and English quite well who would help me through it. He has translated a lot for me. He is somewhat of a "Classic Gamer" himself.
I actually have a spare copy of Rondo of Blood. I was planning on listing it on eBay real soon, but I'll shoot you a PM in case you're interested. :)
Hi pal, well... There is not much to translate here. The intro is in GERMAN, and there is almost no dialogues in the game. And as for the controls.. 2 fire buttons are that hard to guess?
HERE you can find a FAQ that has the translations for the most important parts.
So what are you waiting for? Go and enjoy one of the best Castlevania games ever!

Definatly worth picking up. I scored one in excellent condition from a japanese seller for around $90 shipped off of ebay about a year ago. Considering I almost got one for $75 in 1998 I think I did pretty good. It's not really "rare" so to speak, its just in super high demand worldwide and it was only released in Japan.
