    Default Unusual DC memory unit?

The other day, I found an unusual 3rd party memory unit for the Dreamcast. I can't find a brand name on it, it's all clear, so that you can see the circuit board. and in the area that usually has the LCD screen if it were a VMU, it has 2 red LED's. The right one lights up when plugged into a controller. Can anyone tell me more about this? Also, what purpose do the LED's serve?

Does it have some sort of switch on it? It sounds like a Nyko 2X memory pack I had.

It MIGHT have a button on top of it... (The part that sticks out of the controller) the whole case is molded from clear plastic, so it's hard to tell. If it IS a button, I have no idea what it's for...
