Play sports games?

I only play a few.
NFL Blitz, the Tony Hawks and Wayne Gretzgy 3D Hockey. I don't understand how people play any of the other games.

I hate to admit it but pretty much all I have are sports games for the ps2 and xbox. I am a big sports fan and really like to play the games. I have spent hours on end playing sports games but I only have about 6 non sports games that are in my collection and I have not spent much time on anything else. Not that I have anything against RPS's and whatnot just haven't taken the time to learn anything other than playing sports titles which are pretty much all the same.

Micromanaging teams is overboard for me. I think you have to be a knowledgable sports fan to appreciate this feature. I am a sports fan, but I haven't paid attention to sports over the past few years.

For me, all sports games, modern and classic, (except for a select few) are simply party games. fun to fool around on, or get into serioius competition over, but I could never sit for hours playing against the computer. BORRRRIIIINNNNGG

Not really. So I voted No. Once or twice a year I will play an NBA 2kX game or NFL 2kX game. I want to try to get into NHL.

HOWEVER

There is an exception to this. Mario Baseball / Tennis, etc are awesome, and I can play these constantly. I cant wait for the 3 on 3 basketball, and Super Mario Strikers Soccer.

I like playing sports games. Right now the only sports games I play are NBA Live 06 and NFL 2k5 for the Xbox. I think it's fun to manage a team, but I guess everyone has their opinion

That is the worst reason I've ever heard for dismissing an entire genre. Because you're bitter that EA is big, you refuse to event take into account whether the games are fun or not. Way to be a rebel.

I'm tired of "real" gamers thinking they're somehow better because they're "above" mainstream sports games. That's crap.

I play them because they're fun. I don't care whether someone else is or is not into sports games. Not every genre is for everyone. But there is no difference between the kind of gamers who plays sports games and the kind who don't.

I would have to say no because its been a while since I played a sports game.

I used to be into the Triple Play series, but I traded in the last one I had 2 years ago.
