PS2 to go to $99?

Does anyone know if this is going to happen? I am really interested in a few titles (Capcom hits collection, Dragon Quest VIII and the soon to be Final Fantasy XII) and would be more than happy to pick one up if the price drops to $99.

My bet would be that Sony waits until next year to do it, I don't see a need for them to do it now when they still are selling PS2s at a decent rate at $149.99, Plus X-Box 1 is still selling at that price too.
