    Default SNES repair question

I have 2 SNES consoles that power on but just give me a black screen. Is it a simple matter of replacing the 62-pin cartridge connector or is there something else I should look for?

You could remove the connectors, and clean them. (toothbrush 50%water/50%alcohol) As long as no 'teeth' are missing or bent, that may work. If that fails, then try replacing connectors. Also make sure you are testing with a scrupulously good cartridge.

If you are in a bind, I have spare SNES (untested!) cart connectors by the score.
