Default HELP! I'm getting a game(s) AUTOGRAPH. Where should it go?

I'm getting a game(s) autographed. How should I do it? It'll be a CD game. Should I have the front cover of the manual autographed? Should I have inside the manual on the credits section autographed? Should I have the CD itself autographed on the top? I need suggestions on what will be best. Thank you for your help in advance.

I got my Activision Anthologies and Atari Anthology games autographed. The best place I've found is on the front of the slipcover, but since you're doing PSX games (I assume) I'd go for the front of the manual.

Go for the Disc Face! Game becomes worthless, but then you can get it frame'd with the cover art, manual and disc being display'd. Looks schweet!

So either front of the manual or top of the CD. How about both? Or will that look stupid? I sort of like the idea of framing it too.

And how did you guess it may be a PSX game? Just some kewl stuff for the museum.

Now, another question is should I just get it signed or have him write something? (ie. "To the PlayStation's biggest fan" or "Dedicated to the PlayStation Museum" or "I love felines" or... give me ideas)

    Just a hunch.

If you're ever planning on selling it at some point (which I hope not!) then just have him sign his name. Otherwise, personalization is a LOT cooler.

For location, I guess it'd depend on how much artwork is on the cover and/or the disc. You've got to be able to see the signature, after all.

I don't plan on selling it. It's not Ken K. signing it.

Kristine, should I have him sign the outside of the manual AND the CD? If I get it personalized, what should it say?

Watch out! Dangerboy'll take your head!

For what it's worth, I like personalization. If nothing else, you automatically say "This is for me, and I have no intention of eBaying it." Framing is also a neat idea.

Now cough up details. What game? Who? How?

Can you find me an example of a frame to put it in? If it'll erk Dangerboy then I really am going to get it personalized!
No details yet until it's done. What's the most popular (or GREATEST) PS1 game that could get autographed?

Now, what do I do if I get the original source code too? Should I frame that in with the game? Wouldn't that be cool!

Frame advice: Hit the thrift stores looking for any horrible paintings with nice frames (bonus points if it's covered in glass). Then just get rid of the offensive art, make your own custom matting (fabric should do the trick), and hang it on the wall.

Have you ever seen this done before? It's a good idea. Maybe I should make a new thread asking people to show their framed games?

It wont 'Irk' him, but when SONY awards him that title, I feel that its deserving of him and not others. We're all in this hobby together, its really not a competition as to whos 'better' than someone else.

In all honesty get one or the other signed. Either disc or manual. The signed stuff i've got is all on the front insert. (but is PS2 and XBox and it was already signed when I got it, so there was little choice) but if you frame it, and your framing something thats signed twice its really just overkill. I think that the manual would look nicer signed, but thats just my personal opinion.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

    Awarded.

He won the Biggest PlayStation Fan contest that Sony held just over a year ago.

To conclude this post, I think most people say sign either the manual OR the CD, not both. Personalization will be nice. I just have to come up with something to say if I decide that. I won't give details, but the only hint I will say is that he is the lead programmer for my most wanted game on the PlayStation that was never released. After talking with him for over a year, I am finally getting closure on this game and that a playable version never existed/exists. (although there is a glimmer of hope if I can get my dev kit working that I can run the source code)

And it's not Clayfighter Extreme or Maniac Moons which I'm very hot to trot to get my hands on.

Here's a close-up of my only signed CD game. You may want it in the same place (On the manual).

Bro, why not stick with a nickname and go with it?

How cool would it be to see a Manual read
    "To my favorite museum/playstation curator?"

That way you know it really is yours

Also, if you're looking for frames, I was just at the Virgin Records store the othe rnight, and they actually sell CD / Album specific sized frames, perfect depth and all.

    Good luck! That's pretty cool

Now if I could just figure out who the hell signed my Tiger Woods Golf....

Does Virgin Records have an online store? Do those frames just hold a closed CD or is the jewel case opened? I'll have to search google for those frames.....didn't know they made some.
