Anyone able to find a 360 who didn't camp out/preorder?

Any place still have them? I called every store within my area (pretty much, I gave up after around ten "sold outs") -- including Target, Toys R Us, Best Buy, Wal Mart -- even the freakin' KMart had been raided.

I think we may have underestimated how scarce these units may be on retail shelves. Then again, maybe not, as the 2nd shipments may come way before MS is saying they will (after Christmas).

I got one at Target after camping out for 4 hours. After I got home, I called 20 different stores and all were sold out: Sears, Walmart, Target, Sam goody, Bj's, Costco, EB, Gamestop.

The first shop QoF and I hit yesterday still had a couple of Core systems they were selling over the counter to people. Everywhere else was sold out by the time we got to them.

I was honestly surprised that they sold out that fast. I started calling around 12:20 (noon), and all the stores were sold out. Maybe they weren't kidding about this shortage. One Best Buy said they weren't getting in any more before Christmas, which would be an even bigger surprise.

Hehehe, well, chin up .. I'm sure you'll have tons of fun with it when it gets there, and the anticipation is half the fun!

Also gives you more time to read up on what's good to buy for it and what's not, and things not to do (don't put it upright!), etc.

I went to a local Costco at about 8:15am on Tuesday. When I got up to the stores entrance, I saw a line with about 100 people in it. I went ahead and got in line at the back anyways.

At 8:30, A Costco employee came out and handed out 115 tickets to buy a 360 bundle. I was #66. Even though 100 people or so were in line, there were groups of people together, and they would only allow 1 360 system per Costo card.

The guy said that everybody could leave if they wanted to, and come back at 9:30am. They would allow the 115 people in the store at 9:30 am. They said if you didn't show up by 10am, they would be sell your system to the first person in line that didn't get a ticket. I came back at 9:30, and then got in and bought my package and left.

I spent a grand total of about 45 minutes in line to get mine. 15 minutes before they handed out the tickets, and 30 minutes waiting to actually pay for it. I felt bad for the people in the front of the line. Some of them spent the night there, and they should have shown up at 8:30 in the morning and gotten a ticket to buy one.

I was the 66th person to get a ticket, but by that time, there were about 20 people behind me. So even when I left, they had about 28 or so tickets still to hand out. I'm sure those tickets were snagged within minutes of me leaving.
