Default Kevin Bachus quit Infinium Labs (Phantom vaporware)

    http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?op...=1696&Itemid=2

Kevin Bachus, who became CEO of Inifinium in August has resigned his post.
According to UK trade pub, MCV, Greg Koler has been appointed interim CEO, CFO and president of Infinium Labs. He was previously European director for the company.

Bachus, who was one of the primary people behind the launch of the original Xbox at Microsoft, gave a good deal of credibility to Inifinium where it was (and continues to be) in short supply.

The company continues to promise the launch of the aptly named Phantom e-distribution console in 2006. To be honest though, the company has been promising its launch every year since the launch of the Xbox when they first started talking about the unit and rightfully about the promise of e-distribution.

I don't mean to be a bastard, but who cares? It's not like the Phantom is ever going to make it to shelves, let alone make a profit.

We care because it still provides us with mindless amusement. Do you happen to remember when they were showing off how people were going to play both Metroid Prime and "Tom Clancy" on the system?

Oh i rememeber, but for me the Phantom fun ran out after they took a hint from Penny-Arcade and included spaces for Lies and Guile at their E3 booth. Nothing will ever top that.

Even though it's quite obvious that this company was either mismanaged or just fraudulent, I liked some of the ideas of their product: a cheap, low-end PC that would hook up to the TV and be able to download games from the internet. I'm not sure I'm into their monthly subscription model, but if they did something like this with a GP2X and all that, bringing major releases to it, that would be cool.
You are startled by a grim snarl. Before you, you see 1 Red dragon. Will your stalwart band choose to (F)ight or (R)un?
