I'm guessing here but I know I'm over 1500 carts now. Last I counted was 1500 something. I don't "collect" for CD based systems but I still "have" all the games. If you count dupes, I'm well over 2,000. Also have these arcades: Asteroids, Crystal Castles, Klax, Tempest, Pole Position, and 3 MAME cabinets.

    Most of my collection is:
    2600- 507
    NES- 310
    SNES- 150ish

    I own 35 systems.
These Reproductions available with custom labels via PM with free shipping for DP members:

ATARI 2600: Mazy Match, Cola Invaders (the one I released/made), Meltdown (2600), Kabobber, Stone Age (NTSC), A Misterious Thief (NTSC).

NES(US):Crazy Climber, Mario Adventure, Castlevania C.O.M., Drac's Night Out, Galaxian.

If it wasn't for sarcasm, I'd rather be dead.

I don't have any crappy fifty cent Atari or NES games. The cheapest stuff I have are some SNES games I bought at a liquidation sale last summer. The most expensive items are a couple of my Neo Geo AES games (MOTW and Matrimelee) and then of course there's Chi No Rondo for PCE and Radiant Silvergun for the Saturn.

Total: 260 games one a handful of decent systems. And no crappy shit. I don't collect just to reach a thousand or two just for the heck of it.

Still need Bounty Bob, though :/ I do think I have all the Coco game carts, though there are some utility/app carts I'm missing. They used to be very easy to find here - I guess the Coco sold well in Seattle.

By the tone of your post, it seems like you're saying collecting for cart count is bad. It's fine you only get what you like and don't spend the 50 cents on an NES cart, but some of us do.

I don't consider it bad, just a bit silly sometimes. Those early Atari and NES games are worthless both in $$$ value and gaming value. I was once offered a Philips Videopac with a bunch of games for very little, but I turned it down because it's all shite. When I buy a game, it's because I like the genre. That means we're talking basketball, 2d fighter, old school shooter or RPG.

My IGN list is slightly off due to games they are not listing. There are at least 5 games that arnt on the list, which puts me to at least 1200 games over all. Here's a breakdown.

    32X: 12
    3DO: 1
    Dreamcast: 52
    GameCube: 73
    GameGear: 20ish
    GB: 13
    GBC: 20
    GBA: 58
    Genesis: 23
    Jaguar: 2
    NeoGeo Pocket Color: 14
    NES: 40ish
    N 64: 52
    Playstation: 509
    PS2: 256
    SNES: 14
    TG 16: 1
    XBox: 97
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

To each his own. I think.

I'm sitting at around 400...someone broke into my storage and stole all my games a couple of years ago, so I kind of had to restart. That is including my arcade machines/boards (that isn't cheating a'la counting PC games is it?).

Apparently, but your post doesn't make much sense. Yes, the basketball games are worthless when they're a couple of years old, but then there are the 2d fighters, shooters and RPG's I own. Chrono Trigger is worth a bit, Mark Of The Wolves is about $400 on AES (I also have the original JAP DC release), and then I have games like Battle Garegga and Radiant Silvergun. All of these games are worth a fair bit of money, and they're all considered by many to be among the best, if not the best in their respective genres.
