Why are they called kiosks carts?

They were played on N64 kiosks, you know, the ones where the system was housed in a plastic case and a TV was attached and some controllers were sticking out. These carts would be in these system kiosks so that people could play them, usually before the actual game came out so people could try out the game. A lot of these carts are exactly the same as the retail versions, but some carts like the gray DOnkey Kong 64 NFR cart only has a few levels available for play, if I'm not mistaken. It's been a while since I got out of collecting.

DIDDY KONG RACING "NOT FOR RESALE", (sorry for shouting ) so far I've not heard word from anyone confirming they got it or could get one. I hope this will reach someplace where somebody has or can get one, or anybody with one will just let me know they have it even if they do not want to sell it . You know I'd be willing to exchange a lot and I have a good collection of rares and the like to exchange.
