Well, I'm curious, does anyone have one they'd be willing to part with, and also, can the American version be distingushed from the Euro version short of looking for the infamous "UPC Sticker"? Thanks! Richard

Nope, that is literally the only difference. "US copies" are just European copies with an extra UPC sticker.
Unless you want to pay a couple of hundred dollars for a that, just grab a Euro copy for about $2. You can always just tell yourself that the sticker fell off
