Default Will a U.K. game work in a U.S. gameboy advance?

I'm bidding on a GBA cartridge from U.K. Think it will work just fine in my nephews' U.S. GBA - but need confirmation.

Definitely yes. And Euro/Japanese DS games will work fine in a US DS too, in case you're wondering.

Does anyone happen to know offhand if Original GB games and GBC games from Europe will work in US systems?

I believe all handhelds are region free. Correct me if there's any that's not. As far as I know, they all are. Even the PSP (they're only region-coded for movies)

I didn't think of those, but since they're using the carts from the consoles, and consoles are very rarely (almost never) region-free, that makes sense. Bummer

Actually, it's not that cut-and-dry. If the game itself has no region protection, then it is playable on the Nomad (the cartridge slot is big enough to fit Japanese/European games). However, if the game does have region protection, then a quaint little message will pop up that says something to the effect of "This game will only play in Japanese Genesises" or something to that effect. I believe there's a full Nomad compatibility list floating around somewhere, but I don't know exactly where it's at (try GameFAQs).

I've never had a TurboExpress, so I can't comment on that, but I believe it works the same way.
