Oh, Oh, Me First, Me First... But I failed to meet the reserve

Awesome! Never seen a complete NES US release collection on eBay before. Good luck with this one, I'm sure it will be a biggie

First of all, I'd like to congratulate you on completing such a collection. Secondly, I would make a bid on it (and a four-figure one, at that), but I don't have the money... Thirdly, and I guess it's not too early to speculate... I say this goes for about $10,500-$11,500 when it's all done...what do the rest of you guys think?

I'd say it breaks 10 grand. Isn't that around the price that neswoman sold her not-complete NES collection for?

Yah, I think hers was at like 11 grand and her reserve still wasn't met, missing the heart of the collection... SE, panesians, I think she was also missing myriad 6 in 1 and like 5 others. I wonder how many complete nes collections are out there... got to be quite a few... any guesses? ~Matt

I'd say there are at least 10 on these boards alone.

With the panesians? I've seen someone here saying that they dont count the panesians because they were originaly from Taiwan.

Anyway, good luck with the auction. Going to be fun to see how much it goes for

The price of the rarest nes games are still pretty high but the other 90 percent of the games have seemed to really gone down in sell price.Theres probally 50 percent of the games that go for less than a couple dollars loose .Ive listed some semi rare games like swamp thing,l empereur, ulitmate soccer and didnt even get a bid.I would like to see the auction go for mega bucks. It is well worth buying everything at once to get all the games because you will end up saving a ton of money in the end but probally not to many people can easily throw 7 to 10 thousands dollars at a auction....As far as complete goes I dont think there is such a thing as complete. that would mean every nes item ever made and a lot of one of a kind items are distrubited throughout many collections....anyway to me a complete nes collection will be when I get the instructions(MISSING 80) and 250 boxes for my games..thats all the ones that were avalible in general retail stores for purschase.

That is a very nice collection! I will end up selling mine next year about this time also but I hope to have all of them boxed by then. I am just about done with 650 boxed complete and 100 loose. I have many of the rares but still need the rarest games boxed.
If you are ever in St louis stop by my store Trade-N-Games. I have a huge selection of vintage games along with the new systems. Or shop online now www.tradengames.com

I'd say most people consider the Panesians part of the complete set. Its the Sachens that nobody considers part of it.

Since nobody asked yet: why are you selling it?

BTW - I first saw a link to your auction on cheapassgamer, so the word is spreading. I headed right over to see who was selling and found your thread.

When I first started collecting, I didn't WANT to consider the panesians... haha.. but after a while on the scene, I realized they are pretty much considered part of it now, they snuck in somehow. I agree on the Sachens though.... never heard of those being used as a complete collection.

I am selling my collection mainly to get money saved up to buy a place for me and my girl. I've saved up money from work, sold some other stuff,... and now this is the next big addition to the downpayment. I hate to see it go.... What will I be able to brag about now.?... we'll see... i bet I won't last many years without wanting to get it back..

Thanks for the awesome feedback guys... Now what I'm not looking forward to doing is boxing it up... I wish someone would just come out and pick it up... probably be not much more than shipping is gonna be .. ~Matt

I def. think the panesians should be included... so they were made in taiwan, so what? The first party games were made in japan - so using where they were made as a basis on which to differentiate is crazy.

The point is the panesians were for sale in the US back in the day. All that matters as far as I'm concerned.

Good luck with the sale; very nice set.

I've seen Panesians sold here, and I've seen Sachen games sold here back in the day.

There is no difference, really...for some reason everyone includes one company's set of games, but not another company's set.

Personally, I don't think either should be included, but whatever.

People don't think a specific US SNES game with an E Rating and US parts number and manual should be included as part of the US set, so what do I know???

Wow...nice NES collection. I am impressed. That must of taken you years to complete...I mean years. Now you have to give it up which sucks. Make sure you dont regret this...because it will haunt you for life. Believe me...they always come back.

I assume you mean konami soccer?

Interesting about the sachens, I didn't realize they were sold here back in the day also. Well whatever, I'd rather have lame porn game than just plain lame games anyway

A complete collection is easy to define.

A collection of every game YOU want to have. Once you have them all you can say its complete based on that. However, for eBay purposes you should explain your definition as it will be different than others.

    Bronty:

I mean International Superstar Soccer Deluxe for the SNES.

I think Konami Hyper Soccer is a European NES game.

    Default complete auction

I always wonder why no one ever mentions the racermate NES cart for the computrainer. I would not call my set complete (and it is) without counting that cart. It sold well in this country..and is just as valid as miracle piano, duck hunt, the alladdin carts, stack up, or world class track meet...it just needs its peripheral. And I also would argue that the sachens, the test carts, and the NWC's are also needed for a complete collection....but I understand the opposite opinion. I don't understand why NES collectors dismiss the racermate cart.
    just checking
