So, out of nowhere my snes just stopped turning on. No red light, no screen, nothing. Plug is securely plugged in. Any clue?

Has there been any thunderstorms where you live lately?
no thunderstorms, it was just sitting on a shelf. Played it a few months back and went to play it again and it doesn't work. I'll check the fuse though. Could the power cord be bad?
This should probably be in the Technical and Restoration Society forum.
But, do you have any extra power cords? I don't really know what your probably could be with the system.
sorry if its in the wrong forum. I don't have another power plug, but I'll see what I can do about getting another and trying that out. I don't see any fuses on the actual board, and everything looks fine. Not sure what happened
Yeah, this has happened to me twice and both times it was the power cord going bad, not sure how it went bad, but it was bad none the less. I would think that's your problem.
I'll try that, and thanks for moving it for me, whoever it was
I had a similar problem a while back, power went on and off randomly (this was the original model, not the smaller one) Try jiggling the plug of the power cord where it connects to the SNES. My problem was that the metal cylinder wasn't making contact with a tiny strip of metal on the bottom of the female plug on the SNES. I folded up a small piece of construction paper and shoved it between the power cord plug and the part of the unit hanging over it so the cylinder made contact with the strip- works great.
Wow that's mad confusing. I would take pics to show you what I'm talking about but my SNES is at home and I'm at college. Hope this helps....
