N64 Storage/Organization

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I am thinking of getting into N64 collecting, so I might have missed it...

One of the things I noticed about N64 carts, is that Nintendo (in their infinite wisdom) has not put an end label on their carts, only a front label. My question to you all is, how do you store your loose N64 carts so that you know what game is what? If you use the "shoebox" method, do you add your own label on the end, and if so, what is the best way to do this? I'm sure that all of you do NOT just use a marker to write the name on the ends... (like I have seen at GameStop all too many times...)

A while ago I bought the snap lock cases. Though I only have a couple games w/o cases now. You can write on or make a label for the snaplocks easily and the fit pretty nicely in with the complete boxed games.

A few years ago, Meijer had a clearance sale on N64 cases for $3. I bought a bunch of them since it's easier to store the cart *with* the manual together and I can add label to the spine of the case. I still have a number of extra cases (all clear) and I hope I don't need more as it's no longer found anywhere near me.

I got an organization case a while back that holds the n64 and controllers on top and games in a drawer underneath. It works well but it was not ment to be moved around. It was ment to keep stuff for one system at the tv organtized.. It works ok for display of 30 n64 carts and n64 but not for a collector wanting to play n64 at a TV with 2 switch baxes hooked up..

I have a label printer (took it from a job I had a long time ago) Costs about $100, Print out the name, and stick it on the top. They peel off very easily and leave no residue.

i keep mine in a drawer type thing, so i can flip through them to see the labels.

A magazine in England used to give away cart holders free with some issues, they were sort of like DVD racks, except the slots were N64 cart-shaped and it lay vertically across the ground.
