I picked up in fort wayne, IN:
King of Fighters: Maximum Impact(PS2)
Metal Slug 4&5 (PS2)
Are these games okay? I'd heard some good stuff about Metal Slug.

I didn't go crazy but I got:
Area 51 xbox for me
KillZone PS2 for my step dad
2 free xbox Jedi Hunter Controllers, free promo thing.
Not bad for 20 bucks!
I just bought my wife diamond earrings, I'm a little tapped out.
Glad to hear that you got your share, too. (Now let's wait for the report of Rich the Goodwillhunter, he probably got the best of the best, he's a magician when it comes to finding deals)Originally Posted by goatdan
The price adjustment worked very well, smooth and fast. I would have returned games as well if they weren't included in the sale) Even better: By mistake I got a $30 reimbursement for a game I didn't purchase on Monday (returned it after the cashier grabbed the wrong game) which means I got 7 games for $6.
I didn't go to the Brookfield store, just the two stores at Northridge and South 27th. Today there were Psychonauts left, Sid Meier's Pirates, Winning Eleven 8's, Fatal Frames 2 and a couple of Metal Slugs. (all of them in the South 27th store)
On Tuesday I grabbed Sid Meier's Pirates from the shelf, but there were none left. Thank goodness I checked today again after the price adjustment, saw around 6 displys for the game, and tried again: yep, they had them in stock again.
Overall, great sale, almost every game I got is on my must-buy list. A retail value of $540, and I paid $100. If I sell the two duplicates (devil saga and pikmin 2) at some point with some profit, these great games will cost me around $50 to $60.
The only games I would have liked and didn't get were Zelda Four Swords, Conker, and Wario Ware.
I love those sales as much as I love the games.
I was at the Blake location right next to Northtown mall.Originally Posted by pacmanhat
BTW TRU in Appleton Wisconsin must have not gotten the memo as NONE of the games where marked down and the employees looks at me like I was crazy. They have most of the games too, including RE4.
I ended up going at 7 this evening, due to work, and there wasn't much left. Of course, I don't think there was much left when I was there last week anyway. But I did get Mario Party 4 and 5, and I snagged Mario Pinball and DKC2 online. Not too bad, just a bit disappointed they didn't have squat in the GBA department.
Oh, and they were totally out of Resident Evil 4s

Best part was the reactions from the cashiers as I was getting price adjustments today...
"Hey, this is a $50 game, it can't go down to 10 bucks, can it?" (to a manager)
"what the hell did I get my kid an Xbox 360 for!"
"Damn, you just saved $200!"
"Hey, go get some of those games for my kid!" (to a co-worker)
Glad to see everyone in Milwaukee did good as well. If you haven't gone yet, 27th Ave. is pretty picked over, but as of 6:00 pm tonight, Brookfield still had a ton of games, some good ones too, and a free standing rack in the back corner with at least a dozen Doom3's, scads of lesser games, and a few PSP Darkstalkers left.
There goes the Christmas bonus...but then again, what are Christmas bonuses for, if not new $10 games?

Achi and I grabbed the following. Overall, we got half of what we wanted.
- Donkey Konga with Bongos GC ($20! Now we have 4)
- Raze's Hell Xbox
- Doom 3 Xbox
- Conker Xbox
- DOA Ultimate XBox
- Fatal Frame 2 Xbox
- Metal Slug 4/5 PS2
- Death By Degrees PS2
- Sid Meier's Pirates Xbox
- Haunting Ground PS2
- Karaoke Revolution XBox
- Zelda Four Swords GC
Not bad, considering we'd only want the Mario Parties, Tekken 5, and Mario Pinball beyond what I have here, I'd say we were happy with this sale.
I knew it, I knew it... Conker you probably got from the Brookfield store which I skipped, but I never saw at Northridge or on South 27th Mechassault and Mortal Kombat on MOnday and Tuesday...admit it, you probably went to FOUR stores somehow. You either have an incredible perseverance or a collector's angel hanging over your head. I hope it is the former.Originally Posted by Goodwill Hunter
That's my favorite part, too. First I was amazed how much you pay for the stuff if bought at a regular price (in my case $540). Second, the savings were great with the adjustments. One store was $295, the other one $120.Best part was the reactions from the cashiers as I was getting price adjustments today...

...and on Monday and Tuesday none of the sales clerks knew about the sale, even today when I grabbed Sid Meier's Pirates and said to one of them "this should be on sale for $10," she replied "I don't think so." When the price came up, she said "...and I just sold it yesterday for $40."
MMMh, Brookfield, eh? When I was at South 27th at around 2pm, they still had around 6 Sid Meier's, and 4 or 5 Winning Eleven 8, and Fatal Frame 2 (which I'm really happy I got it for this price). I never saw Zelda Four Swords.
Overall, just a great sale. Why didn't we have these kind of sales during the SNES times?
I was able to grab two copies of Shaman King Master of Spirits 2 and a copy of Fatal Frame 2, but I couldn't find anything else I was looking for. There were at least two other guys walking around with lists while I was there, too. I guess I missed out on some stuff. Oh well, if anyone has copies of Samurai Western, Dynasty Warriors 5, or Advance Wars 2 for sale/trade, shoot me a PM.
"First, we have aspirin. A common cure for things that aspirin cures. Leads to.....rabies."
I went to the Ann Arbor one today, and I didn't see anyone around with a list. The first time I've been into that particular TRU. Once I found these three games, I pretty much stopped looking, because I still have presents to buy for other people.
Killer 7 (the last copy... score)
Metal Slug 4 & 5 (I like that they are seprate discs)
KOF: Max Impact
I'd was well worth my time, I'd say.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Number 1 in the 'hood g!
Are these prices good for tomorrow as well? Anyone know for sure? I'm thinking of going to the other local TRU tomorrow after work, in hopes of finding something good (which I'm doubting).

Hit up the Waco, Tx. store today at about 4:30 PM. Sorry GnG.
Anyway most of what I wanted was gone. I did get:
Xbox Fatal Frame 2: DC (last one)
Xbox Pariah (last one)
PS2 Beatdown (last one)
PS2 KOF: Maximum Impact (left 3)
The only other decent game was Doom 3, but that interested me very little.
I did want to get Nanostray and Bust-A-Move DS in that 2 for $30 sale but they were out of Bust-A-Move and the only other game left was that ATV game that I wouldn't pay $5 for so no deal for me.
Got the following:
RE4
Wario Ware
Pikmin 2
Digital Devil Saga
Final Fantasy I & 2
Nobody there knew about the sale, or at least they did not like US knowing about it. The funny thing is that the lady ringing me and my friend up looked upset that we were taking advantage of the unadvertised sale.

After visiting two locations, I managed to snag:
Killer 7
Killzone
Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Games
Pikmin 2
BloodRayne 2
Virtua Quest
Romance Of The Three Kingdoms X
Metal Slug 4/5
Golden Sun: The Lost Age
I took a trip over to the Racine one this morning because it's not a very busy store. For anyone who was thinking of doing the same thing, there were mixed results. The Xbox games were marked down, and I saw SVC Chaos, Gungriffon, and others (no Conker). Some of the PS2 ones were marked down to $29.99 instead of $9.99. The others weren't marked down at all. None of the GC ones were marked down. They didn't have a lot of the games either, and it was a mess. I did find a Virtua Quest for PS2 laying on the floor ($9.99, which I bought) along with Maximo, PSO I + II, Custom Robo, Blowout, and PS2 Syphon Filter (all $9.99, also lying on the floor, I left those).
I've gone there other times and it wasn't as bad as this time. From my experiences, you're almost always better off sticking to the Northridge store and the Brookfield one. The Racine and 27th street stores usually aren't worth the hassle IMO.
I was the first in line in the game section and no Mario Party 4 or 5, Metal Slug 4&5, Metal Slug Advance. Due to the holiday shopping I think everyone bought all the mario parties the night before at regualr price since no one knew about the sale but me.

I had the same idea DE, and went to the Racine TRU around lunchtime (NOW I've been to 4 TRUs Lendelin!). Aside from the horrendous traffic (people who leave their Christmas shopping go until the last minute are nuts!), it wasn't too busy inside, and I got some games I hadn't seen elsewhere or passed by initially, along with some free Star Wars controllers:Originally Posted by The Dreaming Eye
