Nintendo and their idea;s... PFF!
That controller is ugly compared to the Revolution controller. Just look at the first pic, looks damn huge lol
Also have a bend on it. I dont think Nintendo stole the idea from Sega, but you never know.
Plus I really doubt that controller would be able to sense where it was being pointed at.
Still, interesting find. I like to see prototypes of controllers.
That controller would've killed your hands real quick-like.
I've never read anything about it having a lightgun or gyro (especially that) built in, either. If anything the only possible thing it could've had would've been a lightgun, which isn't really very close to Rev tech.
I agree it isn't exactly the revo. controller but remember they didn't have the technology we have 10 years ago...
Yeah I love looking at proto-controllers
They say it was being developed for NiGHTS 2... The pictures would be a little more credible if they say it was being developed for GunValkyrie.
It, to me, looks like a controller/Light gun combo. And they were originally developing GV for the DC. And supposedly it was supposed to have a light gun/controller combo control scheme.
Just throwing that out there as a suggestion, even though I'm sure they're not real.
I'll accept that Sega was developing a controller like this, as Sony and Microsoft were also. The big hoopla over the Revolution controller isn't the idea or premise, it's that Nintendo had the balls to try it even though the other big guys thought it was a bad idea.Originally Posted by CYRiX
