I am also hopeful that I can get the Aladdin to work. It is in mint condition, as is the packaging and all of the included crap, but it just doesn't want to work. I cleaned the contacts, but it is being stubborn. In any case, for the price I paid for it, it was a steal even if it's broken.

Yeah right. You found it locally? That's awesome.

I went too wild as usual.

    Best Buy
Intec screen and battery for GameCube - $50

    Gamestop (used a gift card)
River City Ransom (GBA, new) - $15
    Yu-Yu Hakusho Tactics (GBA, new) - $5

    K-Mart
    Golden Nugget (GBA) - $7.49
Mega Man Anniversary Collection (GC) - $10
    Sony PS1 memory card - $6
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (GC) - $10

The Intec GameCube screen and battery are in a bundle together. It took me an hour to figure out the instructions to hook this sucker up, and then the screen looked pretty damned blurry (compared to the Mad Catz LCD screen anyway), but I'm keeping it!
Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.

No the Aladdin was not found in the wild, I bought it from a forum member on another board. But it was extremely super cheap because the guy couldn't get it to work. But everything being mint and complete as it is, it was still worth it at the price I paid. I bought it not expecting to get it to work.

But I haven't given up yet.

I bought Chaos Field (GC) for 15 cash and used 15 credit that I had from trading in broken PS2 and XBOX. I saw boxed copies of Perfect Dark, Goldeneye64 and a few other good N64 games. Thinking of going over there today and buying them.

I'm so envious right now. Not one, but two forum members found Pirates! Gold, for the Genesis. Both were complete even! This is one of my holy grails that I hope to run into someday at a flea market. BTW, out of curiosity, dioes it have a save feature on it? I don't recall saving in it back in the Sega Channel days, especially considering a gaming session on it can be pretty short.

Yeah you can save your game. Has I think 4 save slots.

    Such a good game...

I've been wanting to go to SamGoody for awhile...so I went today. Saw a rack of clearance games for 9$ each so I couldn't resist:

    Amazing Island(GC New)
Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising(GBA New)

9$ each. Did I do good?

Also, I've never played the origional AW so will this one make since to me?

Ok, this is the first time I'm posting any finds. I usually go game shopping every weekend, but its never anything special, usually just pick up about 50 bucks in "who-the-hells-heard-of-it" ps1 games. But today me and the wife went to goodwill with no intentions of finding games. My local goodwill never has games, over like the past 2 years, i think i might have found like 1 or 2 games. So we went there today so i could buy some cheap pairs of jeans for the car rebuilding i do. And, on the way out i saw 2 cardboard boxes marked "sega" and "nintndo" (thats the spelling they had). And this is what I got

$15 for all the NES stuff
    Bases Loaded 4 Complete
    World Championship Racing Complete
    Top Gun Complete
    Mario/Duck Hunt
    Renegade
    Double Dribble
    Mega Man 1,2, & 5
    Magic Johnson's Fast Break
    Wrestlemania
    Iron Tank
    Mission Impossible
    Bad Dudes
    Mario/Duck Hunt/Track Meet
    Popeye
    Super Bowl

The Mega Mans were the only real nice thing, but still, nice

And then Sega, got all this Sega Saturn stuff for $10

    Black Fire Complete
    Daytona USA Complete
    Tomb Raider Complete
    Andretti Racing Complete
    Dark Legend Complete
    Madden 97' Complete
    Panzer Dragon Demo
    Bugz Demo? not really sure
Interact Memory Card? (what is this)

I havn't had a Saturn in years, so this is sparking my interest in one again, what exactly does the memory card thing do? Is it the same idea as having to have one like ps2 and gamecube? Or what is an option?

Also, my mom does some volunteer work at a local youth center, and they've decided to rid themselves of their entire NES collection, its something around 100-150 games. I threw out a nice $100 dollar offer, and it was mine, going to pick it up tonight when I go pick up my sister. I'll let you know how that find of my life goes.

Vahn, you got one heck of a good load on your hands there.

Can't wait to see pics of the NES collection! It'll definately top my NES collection in numbers.

Oh, as for my find, I got a NES Cart dust sleeve for free yesterday. Always need those.

After a long dry spell in finding video game stuff in the wild, I finally hit paydirt this past weekend. Talking to one of the regular vendors at the Lancaster flea market, he remarked that he recently picked up an Atari 2600. I figured that it'd probably be yet another 2600A or a jr, but I figured I'd take a look anyway. First, he pulled out a grey 2600 adapter, with a cut cord. Then, he pulled out a box with a dirty six-switch VCS in it. I figured it was probably another light-sixer (got minorly burned on one of those a little while back), but when I examined it closely, I realized that it was in fact a gen-u-ine heavy sixer! Paid $25 for it. Haven't had a chance to test it yet, but other than being dirty, it looks fine.

I went to ebgames yesterday to check if they had any more ngage games for cheap left.

turns out they no longer do...
they also no longer carry anything pre-ps2 now :-(
so ebgames is pretty much off my shopping list .
I did stop in gamestop today and decided to grab a bunch of games just in case they follow suit and kill all the good games and just stick to the newer crap.

but anywho rant aside I picked these up:

yeah I know , the tombraider series sucks.
but I remeber liking the first one ..so I was curious
and yup! they all sucked after the first, but hey for 3$ each I spose it wasn't a complete waste maybe.

I ended up playing twisted metal 3 the most fo them all.
this is the second time in a week i've found brave fencer musahsi at the same store. I wonder if that got a re-release too ;-)
(both copies were pretty dead on mint)

Thats a nice find, I've been visiting all my local gamestops every other week and just picking up ps1 games in the masses. And twisted metal 3, and tomb raider 2, and 3 are ones i've been hoping to find. My friend and I came across twisted metal 2 and 4 for 3 bucks each, and played those all night, then concluded tha tthe 3rd was always are favorite.

As for brave fencer, I've had the same thoughts as you. 3 of my local gamestops got the game out of nowhere, and each one of them didn't have the demo, or did they have instructions though. But all looked brand new.

Complete Tommy Moes Winter Extreme Skiing and Snowboarding for snes......Gee is the godamn title long enough.... 1$

sealed off brand Gameboy color rechargable battery and ac adaptor set... Dont have a gbc but for 3$.....

Sucks cuz at the thrift in the vhs section SNES boxes catch my eye... lo and behold all super complete and minty. Even has the baggies on the carts inside... all sports crap. I either got there too late or someone just got rid of sports games.

Passed on madden games and a pga title and Hardball 3...

I think its the people that work there though. Anytime I find games it always just the sports titles they probably ebay them.
