    Default Air Zonk

I came across a loose copy of Air Zonk for TG-16 at a local indie game store. They were charging 40 bucks for it, which is pretty expensive, but I have been looking for some more TG games, and I recognized the name. What can you guys tell me about it, other than the fact that it is a horizontal shooter?

The main character is Bonk from the Bonk series.(You know: big-headed caveman boy). The only difference in Bonk(compared to his other games) is that throughout the entire game he wears these weird punk-rocker type sunglasses. It's a pretty fun shooter. At the start of each level you choose a certain character as a "sidekick". This other character powers up with you and also helps you shoot enimies. You can have a witch, a steamroller, a cow, and several other characters as sidekicks. It's a quirky (in a fun sort of way) game.

That's cool. I already knew it was Bonk (I could tell from the cover art and the close resemblance between Bonk and Zonk). I generally like quirky games, but is it worth 40 dollars? The online rarity guide listed it as 20, and Video Game Collector lists it as 45 complete. I am not so much worried with rarity as I am with how much fun I will have.

    Default hmmm...

I think it has a collectable value of $40. A play value of $20 ish though. It's uncommon in the wild around here, as are all TG16 games these days. The only time I saw it I bought it. I also think you can get it for less on ebay, though not complete. I'd gobble it up if it was complete, though I would not call it a great deal, just a fair one.

As long as it is in very good condition grab it, you'll probably never find another one in the wild at least.
