Hey guys, just picked a copy of this game up today.
I heard it's a bit on the rare side; also, this was the first time I had actually seen it in the wild since it's initial release.
Any ideas how rare this game is, if at all?

TRU's near me all had plenty at $10 a pop during their recent clearance.
think it's JPN release that is on rather rare side as it didn't get censored like US release from what I heard...
I got mine sealed when I was in Seoul last month on business trip - had to search for one coz most of shop weren't carrying much of GBA stuff nowadays...
Got my Japanese one used a month or two after release, but it was almost the same price as new. I have a feeling it will be hard to find one day.
Oooh....US release censored huh?
That's a damn shame. Ah well, looks like I'm gonna have to track me down a JPN copy. x_x
Isn't it fair to say that most GBA games could be considered somewhat of a rarity? They don't get massive print runs, and they're impossible to find new six months or a year down the line. At least, that is what I have found.
i'd say gotta catch 'em all
Whazzup with the censored vs not versions?
I have a copy US... LOVE the series.... WHat does the Jpn version have the US does not?
Thanks
GRAB that rarity away from the LOSER in front of you at that garage sale... they do not DESERVE it

I'm gonna go ahead say it not too rare, at least in my area. I see them often at the local TRU, but oddly enough not at the EB right next door.
Metal Slug Advance is another one of those GBA games that you'll have a hell of a time locating at a place other than TRU. I found my copy at Kmart ages ago during one of their 50pct off clearance sales.
think red blood Vs white blood? I'm not too sure since I don't have US version...Originally Posted by rjohnson

If you can't find it locally you might as well buy it on ebay while you can, the most reasonable auctions run around 18-20 shipped, new. With the Toys R Us sale dumping them at 10 bucks a pop last month if there's a copy to be had it's there.Originally Posted by Iron Draggon
I found this game at the used store here and owned it for a brief amount of time.
I didnt care for the health bar or the fact that enemies would reappear when you moved back a screen.
I quickly traded it back and got Metal Slug 3 for Xbox.

I don't really think this game is rare. I have seen it in a lot of my local Eb's.
maybe the original poster amend the subject to MSA (US) instead?
