Nope. Just call DHL, Parcel Force, UPS or any of the major carriers. Tell them that there is an item that you wish to be collected from such-and-such UK address and shipped to you. Tell them how much you want it insured for. Pay up, and wait for it to arrive.
The seller does not say that he won't package it, just that he won't arrange the shipping. But for a large size item such as that, arranging shipping is pretty simple because all the carriers that would take it offer collection services.
