Much better than the Genesis versions? Slowdown fixed?

IIRC you can choose to have the slowdown or not have it. Also, you can play earlier games with moves from later games, though I'm a little shaky on the specifics since I haven't played it since ~1999Originally Posted by KingCobra
(well for anything other than Sonic World, anyway. That action was awesome)
Thanks RM! moves from later games? Trip
you can use the spindash in sonic 1.
the game is well worth it if you liked the older sonic games.
it has a really fun museum mode where you can see all sorts of sonic memorabelia including comericals manuals and what not. you can even play differnt revisions of some of the sonic games.
Only get Sonic Jam if you are a collector. If you own Sonic 1,2,3, and Sonic & Knuckles, this I don't believe this pack is worth it alone. I was playing Sonic 2 thru Jam and there were some emulation problems like the sound was screwy, slowdowns, etc.Originally Posted by Blitzwing256
It was pretty sweet, especially the bonus videos and watching the Sonic 3 Japanese Commerical. Sonic World was fun, but just left you wanting so much more after it's complete.
Yet using Spin Dash in Sonic 1 is the major upper advantage.
I also discovered a while back from an issue of EGM from 1997, that Sonic Jam was suppose to have "Knuckles in Sonic 1" but the decision was canned due to the tight schedule to release it. Would have been sweet to play as Knuckles in Sonic 1.
These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!
Spin dash in Sonic 1 was hardcore sweet. Made the game absurdly easy though, in my opinion.Originally Posted by Ghouls N Ghosts
But, I remember that issue of EGM, mainly because I still have it around here somewhere. I remember how mad I was when I discovered they had canned it. Booooooy did I feel like drop kicking a bomb at Sega.
I don't know what caused your problems, but Sonic Jam is in no way emulated - it was produced back when they still had the original source code, so it was ported (the SH-2 code does simulate m68k registers, but that's about the extent of any "emulation").Originally Posted by Fighter17
There's a Knuckles in Sonic 1 ROM circulating now by Stealth.Originally Posted by Ghouls N Ghosts
The Saturn does make some of the sounds in the games sound different and i does tend to slow down for a second on music start ups and in knuckles in sonic 2,not bad thou, and also you get to run around a saturn 3d sonic world and look at the history of sonic.
