MegaMan Anniversary Collection Gamecube Question

Hey guys,
Question: Last night I beat Mega Man 1 on the Mega Man Anniversary Collection disc for Gamecube. I think something was left out though, After you beat all of the MAIN robots and right before you go to the Dr. Willy Stages on the original version for the NES I swear there was a cut scene with Dr. Willy dropping in his hover craft flying off to to his hide out. Also every time you beat one of the stages I think it use to cut back to the hide out map showing where you were going. In the gamecube version all you see is Dr. Willy get in his hover craft and fly off the screen, you never see his hide out nor is there any map present when you complete a stage after that. Am I correct on this?? Was this in fact left out? Did the original NES version even have this???

Sounds like you'r thinking of Mega Man 2, at least for the map.

Yeah you may be right, the thing is I don't think I ever beat mega man 2. I may have. Think I am going to have to get the passwords for Dr. Willy and try it on the old NES.
