Why aren't the captions funny? Please explain in the most sophisticated and elitist manner possible.

That was some of the funniest shit I've read in a while! I almost pissed myself when I read the caption of the two kids playing Simon's Quest. Hysterical! As far as the actual merchandise goes, I didn't even know half of that shit existed. Stationary? Kiddie work desk? Complete birthday party throwing kits? Craziness.

I have the U force, the pinball machine, the bed sheets, and a few other things I have that catalog in a clear sleave mounted on my wall for display, I enjoy looking at it from time to time.

Say what you will. I was there too and in many ways prefer the sense of optimism inherent in this pastel-colored tacky aesthete to the Dickies/Baggy Pants/Ballcap-glued-on-your-head-backwards "Life is Sh*t" crowd.

OMG look at the stupid creaky stuff they wore back in 00's! What a bunch of corporate whores! Didn't they know there were other colors besides black?!

And while we're at it, somebody help me figure out how I'm going to rationalize this sort of thing (below) to my grandkids in 20 years time?

(Oddly enough, this one looks eerily like my Dad....)

You cannot rationalize it. No point in even trying.

I like about 1989-1992, i have a fondness for that time period, but some of those styles....damn.

I wouldn't call the captions funny. They may be if you're the type of person who thinks sitcoms with laugh tracks are funny. Seems like some stupid Seanbaby shit. The pictures are funny though...in a pathetic sort of way. To each his own I guess.
Well, most of it was witty, but not funny, but 3 or four pages had me laughing.

Guys, you are so going to look back 10-15 years from now and see how friggin stupid today's styles are. And no, you didn't know it back in the 80s 90s either. You really did think you were cool, heh heh. But look at old pics of yourself. You weren't! BWA HA HA HA HA!

And while we're at it, somebody help me figure out how I'm going to rationalize this sort of thing (below) to my grandkids in 20 years time?
You don't, dude! Shit, people at Star Trek and Star Wars conventions in the 70s still aren't rationalized...what makes it so this guy will be?!

What a sterile room. White walls and a white desk.

I'll let everything slide except for that mullet.

The bigger question is, where is this guy now?

I remember the sweatpant style in that catalog -- sweat pants with some writing on one leg, often sideways.

I was in grade 8 back then, and yeah, it was fluo colors and stone-washed jeans and all...

It's not in the catalog, but has anyone here ever seen/owned a Super Mario Bros. shower head thingy? It was attached to a hose, so you could pull it out and wash your body wherever you wanted. I did have one of those.

    Here it is.
