Xenogears Question

I finally found Xenogears at my local EB and picking up tommorrow. One question: I heard they repressed Xenogears at one point (non-GH), is there a date to look for to tell which release of Xenogears it is? If it helps the back of the package is dated '98...

if it's NEW, it's a 99% chance it's a repressing, and you REALLY can't tell the difference either way. i think the initial print run was very small to begin with, so there was no need for a GH packaging. in other words, don't NOT pick it up because it's not the "original"... x_x

oh- the original u.s. release was 1998, if that helps..

Xenogears is one of the few PlayStation RPGs that hasn't dropped into the $20 price range, and at this point, it probably won't be joining those $10 PSX games on sale at your local EB, Kaine.

Forty bucks is a fair price for Xenogears, considering that its average play time is fifty to sixty hours. And even if you hate the game, reselling it would get you back most of your original investment.

In other words, buy it.

Yes, I got mine from gamestop also, it ran me 35 bucks, used, but in perfect condition. So it's all good, it is a great RPG though, you will like it.

Started wanting it more after playing the dmeo when I had PE..also loved how the characters broke the fourth wall too. ^_^

Bought Xenogears today and loving it so far! Watched the guy at EB check the game discs for sratches as he took themout of the book and put the annoying seal sticker on it. Xenogears is my v-day gift to myself.

Also traded in a couple GH PSX titles...I'll rebuy the non-GH versions early next week. Use the extra credit for my mall trip Friday.

I got it for myself since I've been looking for that for least 6 months and considering I wanted to treat myself, I did!
