Finally! I know a guy who's working on this...he assured me it would be out over the weekend, to no avail. But hey, better late than never.

I played the Outfit demo tonight and I have to say I was really disappointed. Not my cup of tea I guess.

I did enjoy the Dead Rising video.

I have to say that I LOVED the Outfit demo. It's like a combination of Battlefront and Mercenaries...lots of fun.

I would have to agree with you there. But it is not as if I was looking forward to getting this game.

    I wonder why...
EA wouldn't INVEST in a game now would it??

I fiqured they would just give it a minor update like burnout.. probably network code difficulty..

It's not a game you can jump in and play. There's far more going on than in a basic third-person shooter, so don't take it on a surface level. There's immense strategy here. The only real complaint I have are the vehicle controls and some odd balancing (point blank bazooka doesn't kill a human, but can take out a tank).

I'm interested about the single player too.

From what I hear (and as I said before, this is coming from someone with months of hands on experience), the single player is probably the game's weak point. That isn't to say that it's bad - it's just not the multiplayer.

It also saddened me to see so many folks online speaking lowly of the game, writing it off as just another shooter without even trying to understand the strategies and intricacies. How shallow is that? We are definitely in an age where quality is largely determined by how instantly the player is gratified. Sheesh.

I'll have to give it a shot.. multiplayer stratagy? Thats great stuff!!

Most of the people these days will be just cannon fodder if we get invaded, no real sense of stratagy "DON'T WORRY, YOU'LL SPAWN AGAIN."

Dying bears a greater punishment in The Outfit than it does in games similar to it. The respawn wait is longer, and the points lost is larger (especially if you're killed by another human player). It could definitely be better in this regard, but it could be a lot worse, too.

There are some major similarities to Bejeweled, but also there are some major differences too.

For example on Jewel Quest you have to create a chain on every single square of the board until the squares are all gold, and also the game board changes shape after the first few levels, making you think several steps ahead to chain jewels in tough to reach spaces.

Also the time limit is much more unforgiving, actually taking time away for an incorrect move.

It's a shame JQ doesnt have as many game modes as B2 does... still, I bought it, and am working my way through slowly but surely

Well get this. I am (for once) not going to buy a new XBLA game! Mainly because I prefer Bejeweled 2, I already spent the money on Bejeweled 2, and I do need to show some restraint against the Live Arcade.

    Take that Microsoft!
