Dloaded this and have played it several nights in a row now and must say, while it has promise, it is only ends up being a a C+/so-so title for me, as much as I love golf games. IMHO, it is (barely) worth the $8 (or is it $10?, I keep forgetting the X-change rate). The meager two courses get old quickly as well, though the graphics look pretty nice in places especially for an XBLA game. The game actually has it's challenging and difficult moments and forces you to frequently make risk vs. reward type choices. I assume (hope, at maybe 150-200 points a course, no more) more downloadable courses are otw...hopefully along with better (and more powerful) characters as well and more customzation.
IGN actually rated it an 8.2....interesting...hmmm. On their 1-10 scale I rate it at about 6.8: acceptable but not life/mind-altering...but for less than the cost of a sleeve of Big Berthas, I'll see myself chilling out with it on occasion.
Also would love to see some of Camelot's HotShots Series/Minna No Golf make it over to XBLA...THAT would be f...ing COOL.....Camelot are U listening....?

The E3 stuff is starting to show up. Has anyone tried out the Too Human demo yet? By the time I get home tonight, the XBL servers will be maxed out. It will probably take 3 hours to download.

I'm downloading it now.
First screenshot of Galaga: Legions! Brought to you by the Pac-Man: CE team!
Looks suspiciously like Space Invaders Extreme, IMO.. But who's complaining? SIE is a great game.... The original Galaga still kicks major ass, why wouldn't this one?
Galaga looks sweet!
dunno about the Wii-like avatar thingy's though
The new dashboard looks interesting.
About the Street Fighter II Turbo release, OCR (Overclocked Remix) had a little announcement in regards to the music:

Newer NIN on Rock Band and did 1942 FINALLY come out?
Not that anyone but myself cares, they re-released the first Marathon Map pack as well as adding the second pack. A bunch of new multiplayer levels, some new achievements all for 800 points and a huge 10mb for both packs.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

This Wednesday's game - Geometry Wars 2.
Bionic Commando Rearmed also got a definite release date today. And it's sooner than you think.
The releases for August will be:
August 6 - Braid (never heard of it)
August 13 - Bionic Commando Rearmed
August 20 - Galaga Legions
August 27 - Castle Crashers (finally)
Geometry Wars 2. Roll on Wednesday, roll on.
Geometry Wars 2 is a far cry better than the first one.
I like the addition of collecting geons, and the ability to unlock different game modes, over time.. Not to mention the achievements seem a little easier than the first game. Now I have to go get a points card, to buy this, and for the rest of this months releases.
And Ninja Gaiden 2 players - the Mission mode is (again) available for 800 MS points.
Also, according to Xbox Japan, Braid is going to cost 1200 MS points, and Castle Crashers will cost 1800 - yikes!

I'm really loving Geometry Wars 2, especially the Pacifism mode (which was my favorite achievement in the last GW). It really is worth the 800 points I paid for it, which is good since I bought the card today, bought the game, downloaded and interrupted the demo of the Penny Arcade game to test that bitch.
Good news - 3 XBLA games, this week!
Bad news - Out of the 3, only Shred Nebula looks interesting.
The other 2 games are Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball, and Gin Rummy.
Lets talk Wednesday...
We got Rocketbowl, Shotest Shogi, whatever the fuck that is.
Oh, and some game called Samurai Showdown 2.....
It must suck, because it's only 400 points
