Default Dr. Smith = Merlin, but....

Does anyone have any info about the white Japanese release of the old Parker Bros handheld "Merlin" which in JP was called "Dr. Smith".

Is this rare? I haven't seen it around at all and was thinking of adding it to my collection....

    Anything?

for some reason it was released there by tomy, not parker bros.

it seems that merlin the name and the concept of wizards in general were not suitable for japanese marketing so they went with the lost in space character, although it was not licensed from the show.

on the inside its the same games, as i understand it.

now what about the blue merlin i'm sure i saw somewhere?
