Okay this happened a while ago, so I'm over it now.
The auction was for Volume 1, 2, and 3 of The Mystery Science Theater 3000 collection. It was a Buy It Now for 60. I thought "Wow, that's a great deal." And I didn't think it would stay long, so I just glanced a the sellers feedback number.. and it was in the thousands.. So I went ahead and bought it, and payed for it. 70 dollars with shipping. I wait a while.. and I eventually decide to read his feedback.. And I noticed something... He mostly dealt in selling cheap pieces of jewelery and charms that's how he got such high feedback.. But I also noticed on every few pages there was a negative comment.. ... and I also concluded that all of the negative comments were from buyers who had bought packages of multiple seasons of DVD shows, etc.
I was hoping it was just a coincidence.. so I emailed the seller asking him about the status. No reply. I sent more and more emails.. He finally replyed eventually and said that they should've arrived, and that he'd reship them if they hadn't. Well, I waited some more, and by this time I knew I had been scammed.. So I sent a letter to the seller.. and I made up this story about how my uncle works for the security department of eBay, and that if he didn't ship me the DVDs that I would be forced to take action.
Well, I guess that scared him, because the next day I see that he is no longer a registered user.. So he abandoned all of his feedback and moved on.. probably started a new account doing the same thing, starting from scratch.
So I'm out 70 bucks, and life goes on.
