Found these when I was browsing PSX *.xa audio files a long time ago.

Mega Man Legends - Original Japanese credits theme is still there (STR0728)

Mega Man Legends 2 - Lots of Japanese dialog hidden in the audio, a few scenes worth at least

I could have sworn that Iris's theme from MMX4 was present as CD audio or possibly XA on one of the MM games other than X4, but I can't seem to find it right now.

Also, in Final Fantasy VII, there's an odd character at the bottom of the well in Corel Prison. You can't see him because he's behind the treasure chest. I'm trying to find a rip of the background graphics to show it, but I can't seem to find it at the moment.

I seem to remember reading something about that many years ago. As I recall, that guy is actually part of the background or something and doesn't actually have any text.

Apparently, that weird character was supposed to initiate Test Battle #0.

    Video

Somebody has to have an image of it... I can't find the forum discussion about it for the life of me, but I have a feeling it was over at Qhimm (good forum for FF7-8PC editing, modding, etc).

I know that Midway's Arcade Greatest hits for PSX has all the announcer voice files for Mortal Kombat 3 in plain Redbook Audio, and can be played in a CD player. Very strange.

The music when you talk to someone in Last Battle can't be fully heard unless you listen to the GEN file. It's a bit longer when you beat the last boss, iirc.

Unreal Tournament 2003 had a rather *ahem* strange unused resource. In the static meshes for DM-Junkyard, or at least that's where I heard it came from, there is a shiny, gold, well... here's a screenshot.

    Kind of NSFW...

You would never see it in the game, but considering that the game shipped with UnrealEd and Epic encourages modding, it was only a matter of time. This shot is actually from a mutator that reuses the mesh. It's called Goldmember II and it gets bigger as you accumulate more kills. I remember messing with the maximum size parameter and making it big enough to fill a map. Yeah, those were some fun times.

Ha ha... Goldmember II might be an homage to C-3PO's mysterious appendage on one of the old Star Wars trading cards. See http://www.snopes.com/movies/films/c3po.asp if you're not familiar with it.
