Default Cooking Mama (DS) -> Spiritual Sequel to Ore no Ryouri?

    Here's a video: http://gonintendo.com/?p=1124

I love the look of the game and the stylus use is probably very cool and it looks A LOT like Ore no Ryouri (aka the greatest Japan-only PS1 game) but from this video it looks to be lacking the fast-paced arcade action that made that game so great. It DID look like the game had a lot of modes to it.. so maybe it's in there somewhere and this was just the training level?

    A US release?!?!
    Never saw that coming.
Guess I won't be importing the Japanese one then. Its not like I don't already have a long list of other DS games to get.

    Bumpin' an old thread.

I just have to say, Cooking Mama is one of the best DS games I've played, particularly for the price, which is cheaper than other DS games.

It's perfect for people who like to play handheld games in short spurts. There are 76 recipes to perfect and get gold medals on, plus very difficult skills challenges.

I felt a great sense of accomplishment when I mastered peeling. That is one thing that seemed nearly impossible when I first picked up the game, but now I'm a pro.

If you really love stylus-intensive games, ones that test your finger dexterity and keep you on your toes, get this game. It's great.
