Default 2600 and 5200 "screen savers"

What's the deal? Is the color-shifting that happens when you leave a game on for an extended period built into the cart itself or is this a function of the system? Also, in your opinion what game looks the coolest when in "screen-saver" mode. So far my vote goes to 2600 Frogger. I wish I could play the game in some of those palettes. Some of them are... far out.

It's part of the game code and not built into systems. If you check the homebrewn games, most of them don't have color cycling.

Actually, on the 5200, you have to update a register periodically or the color cycle will automatically kick in from the 5200's 2K built-in OS.

Koffi: Yellow Kopter color cycles if you don't touch the stick after a while, for example. At least, it should -- I haven't tested it for a long time, but the code is still in there.
