Default Namco's POINT BLANK returns to...Nintendo DS!

    http://www.the-magicbox.com/0603/game060323b.shtml

Namco announced a Nintendo DS port of the classic arcade light gun shooter Point Blank. The DS version allows you play the game with the stylus, there will be over 40 mini games from all three titles in the series. The game will support game sharing, allow you to share the game with a friend using one cartridge.
These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!

YES! PB is one of my favorite arcade games ever, and the DS is the prefect system for it come out on. Can't wait.

:/ I've always hated lightgun games that use a mouse, touchpad, or controller. What a freaking waste. Lightgun games are one of my favorite genres, I'd much rather have had a Point Blank compilation release on the PS2 or something similar instead of this.

I agree fully it would be alot better to see a compilation on the ps2

but on that note I think it might be decent on the ds

    we will see.

I agree with Lothars, some of the insane stages could be just plain amazing/painful.

I hear ya! Hopefully they'll ramp up the difficulty and speed to make up for the stylus advantage. It could still be a lot of fun, as long as it is tailored to the DS.

I agree with InsaneDavid 100%. The fun in light gun games is testing your aim and accuracy by using a light gun (and not standing 1 foot next to the screen!). What is Namco going to do to fix the "point blank" (pun intended) tapping which would make arcade accurate conversions (if they are) extremely easy?

Agreed. And I'd be allllll over a Point Blank PS2 comp.

That is going to be awesome. Whenever I am in a arcade one of the game I look for is Point Blank it is just so fun. The DS is a perfect fit for it also. Can't wait to play it.

I agree with you on that one, it would be like playing DDR type game with the D pad...oh wait people do that and watch their finger fly!
