Release Dates on Ebay listings..... Accurate?

You know when you put a game on Ebay and you do the search, and you use the built in information thing, well alot of times, it will show a release date. And the date is usually an exact date. Does anybody have any idea whether or not it's even remotely accurate?


If it is accurate, then that's a pretty cool source for exact release dates.

I think it's funny that they have stock photos of the boxes of some pretty rare games too!

I wouldn't believe the dates they have. I mean, some of their stock photos are of unreleased mock-up box art, and weird variations that never came to be.

What do you think? Do you honestly think eBay would take the time to research this, or just pull a list of general dates from somewhere to save time and money?

Check out Muze, which is where all the data on eBay is from. The dates for current items are as reliable as IGN and the like, which usually means within a few days of release.
