Default Buy one modern game to sell in 30 years time

If you could buy one title that you can lock in a time capsule to sell in 30 years time, what would it be?

A massive classic like Half-Life 2? A small release with amazing reviews like Shadow of the Colossus? A game will little to no sales, as it will be rare as rocking horse poo?

I guess I'd grab Electroplankton. It's small distrobution method on the net is likely to make it rare in future, plus single developer's games (like Seaman) are always sought after.

So, start deciding, and maybe we'll dig this thread up in 30 years, and see who would have made the most earthros (you see, other lifeforms will be discovered on distant planets, so we just have a currency for the whole of Earth ) :P

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence Limited Edition for the rarity model. A Limited Edition that at least shows some remote semblance of actually being Limited.

As a social experiment? God of War. It'll be interesting to see how PC our culture gets in the next 30 years and if anything like this will still be around. Or, on the flip side, if we pull away from all the lawsuit and "games are evil" crap and it gets more violent and raunchy than this.

And because it's awesome? Oblivion. Right now this is the pinnacle of free form gameplay, in that respect it's nearly unmatched. I wonder how much larger and in depth they can make the worlds of single player titles 30 years from now.

How about a mint Halo 2 with the "DO NOT SELL BEFORE NOV 9th" sticker on it? That's got to be worth something in 30 years. Well after the 12th sequel, third movie and countless billions of hours were wasted on the game and all.

I'd probably put in the US version of Pokemon Box, since it was difficult to get in the first place (only at the Pokemon Center in NYC), and since going out of production, already fetches at least three digits on auction sites.

-The Sims (both 1 & 2 and all the expansions)
    -Civilization 4
-World of Warcraft collectors edition are all the games I'd put in a time capsule.

Sad, I chose all PC games. But if I had to choose one, it'd definately be WoW.

I would chose either Super Mario Brothers 2 mint or a mint copy of Tetris from Tengen for the NES.

After thinking about it, even though I'm not an obsessed fanboy of it (I didn't even like #2), I'd put in a copy of Halo 2. This is an important game. It got the average guy to try online console gaming.....en masse.

    Guitar hero w/ the guitar.

I get a huge time capsule.
They get to listen to some cool tunes.
And wonder why they don't make controllers like that anymore.

Probably Wind Waker (original release). It'll be worth $80 in a couple of years so I wonder what it would be like in 30 years.

    Electroplankton
    Resident Evil 4
Zelda 4 swords, Windwaker, Twilight princess.
    House of the Dead 1, 2 & 3
The entire THPS series, even though they're not worth that much. I'd leave 'em all sealed.

ICOs crap, and if you think this is the best thing our generation has to offer in terms of rarity and/or gameplay, i feel bad for you.

my choice? duck hunt/smb for the classic-ness

    steel battalion for the 'wtf'

and a MIB copy of chrono trigger for the price value.

I'd choose Psychonauts. It's a great game and nobody bought it and it had a small printrun. Games like Halo 2 are too common and will be like Mario Bros/Duck Hunt today.
