I do. I own an xbox controller and Spikeout but don't own an xbox.
I owned GTA VC, T-Hawk 3, MGS2, and Stuntman a good six months before I plunked down cash for a ps2
and I have a turbo express with no games
2 XBox games, 1 TurboGrafx game, 6 Acetronic games. No systems for any of them.
I've got a couple of Saturn games but not Saturn. God i really do need to buy one.
I won some Lynx games in a DP contest years ago.
I've had some Vic 20 carts in my tradebox for a couple of years now.
Yeah, it really depends on what I've sold or recently gotten rid of. I've found myself with a ton of PS2 games, but no PS2 (sold it), ditto with 'cube and Xbox. Reason being is that I need to cash from the system (to buy some game for god knows what), but plan to get another down the road.
Sure, that's happened to me plenty of times. Usually the games find their way out of my collection, though. Ive had some Atari 400/800 carts (eventually got rid of them), I still have an intellivision game and no Inty, I have some Duo games, I think I have an XBox game around here (have some demos, too), I had a 3DO game before I got the console, I had SMS games before I got a PBC, I've had 5200 games and no 5200, etc. Sometimes I hang onto the games if I plan on buying the system later on. Otherwise then eventually get chucked in my tradebox. I don't like having dead weight around here.

Hmm I own 7800 games but no 7800,need to get one
"...leave love bleeding, in my hands, in my hands again..."
Shenmue II for the Xbox but no xbox.
Well, I'm a huge Shenmue fan so got this cheap basically for the Shenmue: The Movie DVD which I still haven't watched
Gun, Perfect Dark Zero, and a wireless controller for Xbox 360, but no Xbox 360... yet.
Also, I had a 3DO game for awhile, fully expecting to eventually buy one. However, that idea went the way of the dodo, and I gave the game to my friend Rev. Link... who ALSO doesn't own a 3DO. But he's alot more likely to eventually buy one than me.

Sega CD and Dreamcast. I've got 2 for the first, and 1 game for the second.
I also had a couple Oddysey 2 games, but I misplaced them long ago. I remember that I bought them with a pile of 2600 games.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Number 1 in the 'hood g!
Ditto on the Shenmue 2!!!
I have Shenmue #1 for my Dreamcast....played #2 on the Xbox, and when it came time to dump my Xbox I couldn't bear to part with this title....just incase #3 rears it's head and appears on my 360.
I have a 32X game but no 32X.
I had black and white Gameboy games without a machine....but last week I found a clean, complete GBA (box, instructions, baggies, blow-in cards...the works) so that I could play them. I'd been searching for a long time to find one that hadn't had the shit beat out of it.
I have a freaking Laseractive controller. Of course, you know damn well that I don't have a Laseractive system. I think this controller will also work on Genesis systems and it looks very much like a 6 button Genesis pad, but it's an actual Laseractive controller.
I've got Atrix for the Atari 2600, but not the actual system.
I've got a sealed Myst Jaguar CD that I won in one of those eBay contests that DP had. The description said "Game" and I won it for a penny I think + shipping. I don't see a Jaguar CD in my collection anytime in the near future. I also own a copy of Heavy Unit for Japanese Mega Drive, but I don't have a convertor or anything.

I had PDZ and a 360 controller, before I bought a 360...
I've got a couple of Mega CD games and a bunch of rare SMS games that I can't play. I think that is it, though.
I have six NES games, five 2600 games, and three NES controllers. I also have four Dreamcast VMUs. I got them all for £1 each, apart from the 25p 2600 carts, expecting to get the systems eventually.
I have Castlevani: DoS but I have not bought a DS yet, I decided to buy the US version for $40 AUD before the thing vanished.
I dont have a DS because I had a little hunch that Ninty would pull out a superior version of the DS and I was right, I'm waiting till it comes over here in Australia with a game bundle before swooping.
