Why is the gamelink as rare as it is (r6) while it was packaged with a game (crush roller) that has a lower rarity (r3)?

The game was also sold seperately.
Bacon, Bacon, Bacon, IT'S BACON!!!!

Not only that, but a majority of people toss out the box/docs/ accessories with a portable game, which makes it even tougher to find.
There are a LOT of "complete" Neo geo pocket pac-man games that do not have the d-pad ring for the deck.
Just like how R.O.B. isn't as rare as some of his seperate Stack-Up pieces are.

i got my copy, supposedly new and sealed, and it didnt have the ring in it when i opened 'er up.....did they stop including the ring at the factory, was it a reseal, was it a manu. mistake, and, does anyone have an extra ring?Originally Posted by Dangerboy

I got my Pacman s/h. Was in absolutely immaculate condition, all the manuals and it had the 2 plastic rings and instruction sheet still sealed in the baggy
Best thing: it was in the BOGOF deal. I brought Neo Turf Masters (also s/h and minty mint) and got that free.
Well if you got a US copy, for some reason that put them in the rather odd place of the box itself. So if you lift the front (where the manual is on one side and the game the other) you would never see it or know it has one. Open the box from the top or bottom and it's in there.Originally Posted by tholly
This thread had me going WTF? for a second. I didn't realize you were talking about the NGP or NGPC. I was thinking "Two Neo Geos can be linked? Wow! That does sound like a rare cable! Who has two Neo Geos!?"

The moral is, don't **** with Uncle Tim when he's been drinking!
But you can link Neo Geos. Some carts have a phone socket style connector allowing you to link two systems together via the carts.
The only games with this feature are League Bowling, Riding Hero and Thrash Rally. There is also the unreleased Kizuna Encounter Special Edition which would have been 4player.
Can't say I've ever tried it, but yeah. NeoGeo link-up. Crazy.
That's what I was thinking about, then I went "Wait, how did Cosmic Monkey get Pacman free with Riding Hero? Oh well, sounds like a good deal..."Originally Posted by CosmicMonkey
I did not know about the Kizuna Encounter SE - that sounds totally badass, and I weep that it never saw the light of day. Was it just announced and never completed for technical difficulties, or what?
