    Default NES controller variation covers.

I was just having a hard time finding out about a few Nintendo controller cover variations that I have seen over the years.

The two that come to mind if I can remember is there was a happy birthday Nintendo controller with a 1993 I believe and the 9's were put under the A and B buttons.

The other was a white spiky haired boy right in the center. His sunglasses were the start and select buttons.

I was just wondering if there was any more besides that, and how valuable they really are.

I'm pretty sure this was just a sticker from Nintendo Power you could put on your controller. I'm still trying to get that residue off

Yeah, I was going to say the same. I think they came in NP, and I think some stickers were even sold in stores. Not sure If they were, though, or even wether they were first or third party or both.

There was also one that looked like a circuit board.

I think they were subscriber exclusives, at least the three that have been mentioned thus far.

That spikey haired guy is most likely Nester.
RIP bargora, you will be greatly missed. That is how we do things on Giedion Prime.

I still think that was all a ploy to get you to buy new controllers once the sticker gunk began to bleed out around the edges. There were a few different versions, the first one with the spikey hair guy also had a purple and pink one with some stars or something on the same sheet. Those are long gone, I believe they came seperate when you renewed your subscription or something, like Oobgarm said.

The 1993 one you're talking about was inside Nintendo Power Volume 44, January 1993 and had more than just NES stickers, here's my full sheet...

...this is also the volume that has the StarFox Arwing model. As you can see there's more than just a NES sticker. The NES stickers are the 1993 and the circuit board. Below that is one for the control surface of the original Gameboy, to its right is one for around the screen of the original Gameboy. Then of course the Moon and the Earth one is for a Super Nintendo controller. The 1993 one is for the new year.

    Default hey!

I found a screenshot of the spiky haired boy sticker I was talking about.

That Snes Space sticker is pretty sweet, wish that would have put a lot more of these out. I have so many extra controllers that it would be nice to spruce them up.
