Default Wing Commander: The Kilrathi Saga

I'm selling a near mint condition of Wing Commander: The Kilrathi Saga. It is 100% complete. All 5 CDs come with their own original cases. Includes manual, flight guide, reference card, product guarantee, etc.

I'll be listing it on eBay later today. Bidding will start at $150. The auction will also include pictures. There is minor wear on the edges of the box, but other than that, it's in perfect condition.

This game sells for upwards of $200. I'll post the link to the eBay auction later.

You should specify that it's the PC game that has Wing Commander 1-3 in it. Not a ton of people are familiar with it. It's rare as hell, which is weird cause the individual games aren't rare at all.

Well, I'd guess it's because they just didn't make that many of them.

It was also updated to be more friendly with current operating systems like XP. Great package and good luck with the sale.

While I agree with the fact that the item is rare, I disagree with your opening $150 bid. I think it would've attracted many more prospective buyers if you had, say, started the bidding at $39.

Of course, it's only a matter of opinion, and I do believe the item will sell either way. And I wish you good luck with the sale!

If the item sells for over 200, why would you start it off at 150? Anytime an item is rare, start it off at .01 cent to save money on listing fee's....

I didn't want to set a reserve price (because they always annoy me and I usually don't even mess with auctions that have reserves) and I didn't want to get less than $150. I'll be happy if only one person bids.

But if no one bids, then I will repost it with a lower price.

I set a Buy it Now for $175. I know it could probably get a lot more than that, but I'll still be happy with $175.

    I sold it for $175.

And here's the kicker: I got it at Salvation Army for $3.50

I'd hold off on the celebrating until that zero feedback bidder pays you.

That's what I figured and why I suggested that you'd be thrilled to get what you were asking for it.

    Congrats if he pays.

At least he's not a zero with "shades" who just joined eBay the day he placed the bid.. I hate those guys.

You just pulled a Kitsune! That's what I've done, I buy old games for cheap, then resell them for great prices on eBay.

I only have one question: Did you test the CDs? I've bought old CDs from years back, and they don't work anymore, even though they should and have no scratches. My copy of the 11th hour is that way.

    Yeah, they all work.

And yeah, I'm actually worried that it was a phony bid. If the other people who had auctions with this game were smart, then they could have done that just to get my auction out of the way (so that they would have less competition)

I never even thought of that possibility.
