Default Your own Fan-based homepage about a retro console?

    Hi all,
We all know the big sites about Retrogaming including this forum. You wouldn't be here if you didn't like it, right? Now, if you're like me, I also like to maintain my own page. Just, like adding what I like, showing you what I like. I did this about the Philips CD-i, probably one of the lesser known retro consoles out there.

Now maybe I'm the only one, but are there more people around having their own amateur website about a retro console? I'd like to set up some link-trades and create a circle of fan-based websites like these. Thank you in advance!

    Best,

    David

I think this thread is gonna be flooded soon, I assume many people who post to Digital Press have their own video game page...
So here I go, my little space on the web evolved through the years, and it is now in the shape of Video Game Den where I try to share my favourite games and systems with others. My two cents. It is also a lot of fun, I love video game history and VGDen allowed me to go even deeper into things.

Wow, I'm full of anticipation then
I want to rise up a little popularity, is a link-trade a possibility?

My link is, of course, in my signature.

That's what your signature and/or the "www" button functionality is for. I don't care too much for these "look at my site!" theads but that's just me, many enjoy them.

I'm somewhat in the same boat. It's alright to post your site, but it's better off being in your sig & to post this in:
    Sticky: Introduce Yourself!

Hope you hang around the forums and chat around instead of just advertising.

NO! This is not meant as advertising in that way, but a way to find more people to trade some links with. I admit I'm not really familiar with DP, maybe I stuck too much creating my own site. I'll figure out the signature thingy,
I'll pm you all posting in here for a trade, that would be really cool.

Wait, you've got a link to the Black Moon Monthly, but not to their main page? That's strange. Anyhow, good site.

Edit: Oh, yeah, what's up with the title ("The Philips CD-i homepage - Philips, cdi, emulator, zelda, nintendo, phillips, CDI, games, cd-i, ISO") ? Keywords go in the keywords section - nobody can read all that stuff in the title and it looks cluttered, plus it's not really telling anybody any useful info (partly because they can't read it all).

Agreed, for a second there I thought I got misdirected to a warez site or something.

hey come on, give me a break - Never even noticed this actually

edit: just looked around a bit and found a keyword section where they are in, not in the description. I don't get it why it is shown after the description.... Stupid webpage-editors I believe...

Ehm, you're wrong about that actually.
It's all in it, although I tend to give more space to a part which has recently been updated.

Now do more people own and maintain their own website?

Yep, my game related website is in the sig. It's dedicated towards classic computers but when I get time it will have a large Amiga/Commodore section as that's my main love
