Default How to make Star Ocean SNES cart via LONG SHVC SNES devboard

I've wanted to have Star Ocean on an actual console, but I remember hearing that the SNES flash cart doesn't support it (could be wrong?). ???

Ok I have this cart above and this URL: http://www.dejap.com/so.php

Ok I'll try to make the point brief. This particular game is tricky due to unusual graphics decompression and such. It would be awesome to try this on a real SNES. What could be done using this full size devcart to reach that goal? Has anyone attempted this particular taske before? I know this isn't an easy thing to try so thank you. Any help is appreciated. Suggestions for other things to do with this too

I know, that someone already build a Star Ocean English Version. But it looks much different then this board. So I think it will not work with this board. But only a guess, because I have not much idea about such things.

When I not wrong it was d4s here on this board, who build a Star Ocean english version in the past.
And when I not wrong again this site is from him.
    SNES Dev
has some information to build SNES cartridges. There is a link for Star Ocean too. But this is in progress since some years. So I have no idea if this will ever finish.

But I think he know how it work, because the game is listed on this site.

You would need an SDD-1 chip. The only two games that use it are Star Ocean and Street Fighter Alpha 2. I think there is a thread on the zsnes board that tells you how to make a Star Ocean cart.

The board won't work, it needs a PCB with a SDD-1 (the compression chip) as Evan pointed out. There is a modified Star Ocean with all the graphics decompressed, but you still won't be able to use it as it is 96 megabits, way too big for that board.

The easiest option for playing the translated version on a real SNES would be a 96 or 128 megabit Game Doctor SF7 from Tototek. Their Super Flash cart won't work with this game.
