    Default Gakken Compact Boy pics

Just got it today, but here's a few quick pictures and descriptions, I'll write more later.

There's the system with three games. I put the NES game next to it to give a sense of the tiny size of the system. You basically hold the system steady with the handle on the left and use the handle on the right. It works just like a joystick, you can't rotate it or anything. The start button/ b button is on the handle and the a button is on the side of the joystick. Every game I've played only uses the a button. There's also a pause button by the power switch, which is nice.

As you can (hopefully) see from this blurry picture, the Frogger game is licensed by Konami.

Excite Invader is just a simple Space Invaders clone, except sideways.

Robotan Wars is a pretty decent Robotron clone. You're the little guy in the middle.

Wow, it looks like shitty Channel F or Arcadia 2001 graphics or something. Nice score!!

That title screen is blurry, but I still think I can make out the font. It looks like this system is based off the TRS-80 Color Computer series (either CoCo1 or CoCo2, I would guess), which is also substantially similar to the UK's Dragon series. I wonder if those carts would work on an actual CoCo, or perhaps a Dragon?

The graphics are so ugly you'd think there was a 6849 (of Dragon fame) in there.
