i started another thread about some deals i got on ebay. they arrived today and i couldnt be happier with them.

the sega genesis and segacd (the original ones) were both in very nice shape. ive heard that the original segacd didnt last very long and got broke easily so i was holding my breath but it works flawlessly.
it came with four sega cd games , prince of persia, tomcat alley, formula one beyond limits, and the san diego zoo presents the animals. all in their original cases with inserts and manuals. the only one that had any scratches at all was the san diego zoo one.
also included were 8 sega genesis games, all in their case with manuals and look top notch. they were altered beast, desert strike, rayden trad, streets of rage, sonic 2, mortal kombat, eternal champions, and one ive never seen called wacky worlds creativity studio that comes with a 3 button mouse that plugs into the genesis.

all for $70 and that includes shipping.

i also got a dreamcast that included shenmue and grandia 2 as well as 4 or 5 others for $50 but was mostly excited about the genesis and segacd.

Tis what I've seen, heard, and everything else in the world. Quite personally I have to play a game for myself before agreeing with those conclusions. Thus far from what I've seen in screenshots it looks pretty fun, like the typical run around, FPS killing dudes everywhere while running through a maze to get to the end. I'll be setting up my N64 this weekend and then I'll be able to judge.

First thing I will address is that I realize this is a May finds thread; but out of all fairness some of this stuff is worthy of future insight (Campus Challenge Stuff) and it is not one month of finds but 6-8 months. Also I have not been posting in the monthly threads due to being busy at school (YAY! PITT) but never to busy to buy. So I hope you all forgive me, and we all can have a wonderful, eventful, and lucky sumer together. So here we go!!

    Chavez II (cart/manual)

Very interesting in my opinion. I have never seen anything relating to this event before. Apparently, from what I can gather, after the great success of the Nintendo World Championship Nintendo decided to strike at the heart of videogames, the college demographic. Here trips and great prizes were given away after competitions.

Close up of Campus Pom-pom, Cup, Tattoos, and Metroid Magnet.

Close up of Yoshi's Island disks, SNES Ruler, and "Mario Mania" patches

All Campus Challenge items were recieved from an old Nintendo of America employee. Here we have an old German Nintendo Ad, Nintendo test cart, N64 Camera, N64 catalog, N64 tattoo, Black SNES cleaning cart (anyone have a complete one of these???)

    Mario All Stars Shopping Bag

    Mario Bros. Trash Can

NES Kirby's Adventure Store Display (rather large; DS game there for comparison)

Kirby N64 display (Also rather large; Ds game there for comparison)

N64 Bike radio, Old Nintendo Power Magazine holders, Mario Cake Pan (Girl Friend made it for my 21st Birthday!!)

This is a ton of promotional items from another old Nintendo Rep, alot of stuff pretty cool (Golden Eye key chain, Mario Tennis 64 key chain, N64 Launch day watch, etc)

    Also all from nintendo rep

Nintendo patches, wind up toys, and zelda key chain

    Gameboy,Gamecube, and Ngage demos

N64 games, and bananna N64 controller cover

Top Loader, Sonic Dolls, N64 system

Old Arcade promo items Nintendo Vs. Magnet, Some lemon guy (any ideas?), and an old old burger shaped Burgertime piece of gum

A set of N64 Hard, thick plastic advertising displays; You know the ones that used to go above the N64 display

Just got these this weekend; Nes games, Sega Games, Controllers, How to Win at NES Games book, NES system with old school stickers on it

    Virtual Boy Games (Complete)

    SNES tester

    Game Gear Set

    Virtual Boy Set

Well folks that is mostly everything that is interesting. You may be wondering why this is called "Happy Thread," well that is because there is a "Mike's Sad Thread" soon to come. I will give you a hint to the sadness, It involves my basement closet flooding. Sad...

But as for this stuff, please enjoy and give me insight to anything I may have had questions on.

    Happy Gaming!!

Wow, icarwngs55, way to go! My recent find is somewhat related in the promotional sense.

    From a local thrift store:

Wow, this trash can has been in my room since I was three years old. I actually still have an early memory of buying it with my parents at Sear circa 1989. Need less to say, it caught my attention in this thread. I wonder how rare it is to find one these days.

Picked up a few NES games at Salvation Army today (they had a bunch, but I'm broke!)

    2.99 each
    Donkey Kong Classics
    Arkanoid
    Contra
    Rescue Rangers
    California Games

There really wasn't much else for really good games, but at least a couple I would have picked up if they had been half price or something.

Thanks guys! Any questions you have I will answer. As far as prices lets just say everything was very very cheap, know why, cause I am a cheap ass.

Also, no one quote to the whole thing it is kind of well long and unecessary. Just refer to the items, I will know what you mean.

    Happy Gaming,
    Mike

icarwings55, Those are some awesome finds there.

I was wondering when the pictures would end..

Anyway, to my finds, 3 days ago:

Awesome, right? Bought it all at a yard sale for $12!

I wasn't even looking for finds that day, I was really going for a bike ride on a trail!

But when i was coming home, i saw this yard sale sign, folowwed it, Saw all the games, Didn't think i'd be able to buy them all, But when he said 25 cents per game, I knew i'd be able to buy them all.

But my dad had to take my mom into town..!

So, i rushed by getting the bikes off the car when i got home so i'd be able to get all the games, And my dad dropped me off at the sale, wich is only, like, 100 yards away from home.

I go through the games, I'm buying them all, Except for all the current gen games and the SMB/DH carts.

My dad comes up, we buy the whole lot for $12, I also saw the guy's home theatre, He may just be a collecter himself considering all the game systems he has hooked up to hi's TV - N64, NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Xbox, PS2, Gamecube..

Here is a list of the games i bought:

    N64 Games:

    1080 Snowboarding
    Glover
    Goldeneye 007
    Hexen
    Mario Tennis
    Star Wars racer
Star Wars Shadows Of The Empire (x2)
    Turok Dinosaur Hunter
    Turok 2 Seeds of Evil
    WVW/nWo Revenge

    NES Games:

    Adventures Of Dino-Riki (W Manual)
    Arch Rivals
    Bad Dudes
    Bases Loaded II
    Bart VS. The Space Mutants
    Bigfoot
    Blaster Master
    Caveman Games
    City Connection
    Commando
    Dr. Mario
    Gotcha!
    Hogan's Alley
    Ice Hockey
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
    IronSword
Jordan VS. Bird One On One
    Magic Darts
    Mission Impossible
    Pro Wrestling (x2)
    Punch-Out!!
    R.C. Pro-Am
    Robocop
    Rocky & Bullwinkle & Friends
    Smash TV
    Snake Rattle & Roll
    Spy Hunter
    Tecmo Super Bowl
    Tiny Toon Adventures
    Top Gun
    Trojan
    WrestleMania Chgallenge
    Yoshi

    SNES Games:

    Disney's Goof Troop
    F-Zero
    Nickelodeon Aaahh!!! Real Monsters
The Ren & Stimply Show Time Warp
Rocko's Modern Life Spunky's Dangerous Day
    The Simpsons Bart's Nightmare
    Super Mario All-Stars
    Super Punch Out
    WF Raw

    System:

Sega Genesis (Model 3, With Controller and AC Adapter)

I'm embarassed to say i got those nickelodeon games, But now i'll be able to play Super Punch out again, So it's not all embarassment in the SNES section.

just got 5 dreamcast games for $20 bucks off ebay and that includes shipping. four of them new.
    the new ones are
zombies revenge-love this game and now i have it back.
    chuchu rocket
    sega rally championship
    incoming

the 5th game is tnn mootorsports hardcore heat. i think the game is cool but it didnt score well with reviewers. anyway its harder to find than you may think.

should have them by tuesday next week. its kinda funny because i didnt really think i would win the four new games with a $10 dollar bid. if only i could get that lucky with cannon spike.
