Default Anyone own Whac a Mole DS?

If anyone else has this high quality game I've got a really quick question...does the touch screen seem REALLY off to you at times?

There are points during rounds were I can tap all I want, the moles don't die, or if they do it's no where NEAR where I've tapped. I've tried it in my wife's DS and had the same issue...

I don't own it. It had the worst cover art I've seen for a game in a long time therefore I avoided it like the plague.

If anyones played it I'd like to know about it too.

I bought it simply because it was on clearance. It wouldn't be too bad a game - the puzzle mode especially is pretty fun, and pretty difficult, but the touch screen detection seems really off at times.

it looked pretty interesting, but it seems like the type of game you wait for it to drop to the $5 bin before buying....

Judging a game by its cover? *tsk tsk*
There have been plenty of good games that had terrible cover art. Look at the original Mega Man!

On the topic, I've always been interested in picking this game up, but I kinda figured it wasn't quite worth $20. How deep can it be, after all? I'll get it once it drops.
I only need 2 more NES games (US)!

I got it for $8ish at Circuit City on clearance...I felt that was about right!

to actually answer your question... yes, the touch screen does occasionally get 'off' by a bit. i can't really tell how or why it happens... just credit it to a design flaw in a cheap and badly produced game, i guess. it's one of the game's many flaws, if you ask me.

although, despite those flaws, it really is a better game than most people give it credit for, i think.

You know what, you are absolutely right and I don't normally do that. The real reason was the fact that the idea of a Whac-A-Mole game seemed kinda pointless to me.

But I've been proved wrong before. Maybe I should give it a shot.
