    Default Okay Microsoft...

Why is it you're bragging about the 360 and the 'Hi-def gaming revolution'. Yet the 360 doesn't have any pure digital video cables?

My question is, why does the 360 not have DVI-D or HDMI cables? You think they'd, at least, have DVI cables since most HDTV's have DVI ports before HDMI became the standard. And they're both cleaner signals than Component or VGA.

Does Microsoft plan on releasing these cables in the future? If not, why the hell not?

I could care less about DVI-D and HDMI, since I use a tube CRT and they're analog. It's quite possible the 360's TV encoder doesn't support digital output.

Heck, I don't even understand why people buy digital LCD displays if space isn't a concern, as CRTs provide the best picture.

Also you don't get the same "warmth" you get from a CRT. And you can't hug a LCD. And CRTs are cheaper.

Most likely because it would have cost even more money to add those features and due to the lack of people have all those nice ports on their TVs, they found it to open up more market to sell with what they have. I'd doubt that'd spend so much money creating a system that didn't fit the market it's going to be launched in without researching what most of those people have now and what'd work with it.

Well, they're going to have to have HDMI if they release the HD-DVD add-on. The studios can use the Image Constraint Token to block the full HD resolution over component connections (although they're not doing it on the initial releases from what I've heard). Then again, it's possible that the add-on itself will have the HDMI output.
