Default Final Fantasy 9 Strategy Guide - Rare?

I've just stumbled upon a New & Sealed official Final Fantasy 9 Strategy Guide. Is it worth anything? The guy selling it wants £11 (uk money), and it very near to my home.

I know that perhaps this might not be rare in the US, but could be rare in the UK? I'm pretty sure it's the game version the US got (it's black, and has "Sony...offical collectors" or something similar written at the top)

    Peace

If its like the US released guide from bradygames, the one that has the words "playonline" plastered all over it, its the most worthless guide ever. I remember back when the game came out they wanted you to go online and type in codes to get usefull information that they would normally put in a good guide. But back then, I didn't have the internet. And now, you can't even use the codes if you wanted.

    ^Ditto what he said.

The official FF9 guide is notoriously one of the worst strategy guides ever created. Instead of telling you what to do, it keeps referring you to Square's website to get answers, which defeats the purpose of spending money on a hard copy strategy guide.

The guide is very, very common in the States. Even if it were worth more in the UK, I can't see it being worth that much. I mean, I don't think the market is that big for old strategy guides, especially not well distributed ones for big games.

I don't see how it can be worth it. I even doubt that the guide is worth £11, no matter how uncommon it seems over there. Doesn't seem worth the hassle. Just because it says "Collector's edition" doesn't mean that it's very collectible.

Snapple's right. I got the strategy guide, and it fucking pissed me off. I paid money to figure this shit out, if I wanted to go online to figure this out, I wouldn't have bought the guide.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt screwed over when he bought that guide.
