I hosted a gaming night this weekend and a friend of mine was wondering about an old NES game that he used to play. It’s a chess game similar to Battle Chess set on a chess board where you move you players and attack your opponents. That’s all I know about it.
On another note, the gaming night was odd to say the least. My buddies and I are big hockey fans so we started the night off with some NHL 2006 on the XboX. As the night progressed we moved into the older systems playing things like NBA Jam and NHL 95. By 3 in the morning we were surfing though my SNES complete rom collection on my XboX looking for anything interesting. We found some great games like Uniracers ? which is a fun unicycle racing game. Then we found a the oddest game ever – Super Slap Shot by Virgin. Right away we were laughing our heads off at the announcer who welcomes you to the game. In selecting the teams they don’t have a Czechoslovakia team but have one for Egypt and Mexico. I decided to choose Canada but decided not to as the game rates their goaltending as “bad”. So we went with Egypt vs Mexico. The game play was hilarious! Every time the goalie made a save he would sorta throw the puck ALL the way down the ice to a teammate (no off sides ???). The weird thing is we played this for about an hour till we noticed it was 4am.
Anyway, any help in finding this battle chess like game for the NES would be appreciated!
