Default Earthbound for NES on ebay--- HOAX! #8285643767

Have you seen it? for $200??? OMFG it's wrong. What's next, selling your cart from Nesreprodutions and turning a 1000% profit? (is that right?) please help stomp out stupidity on ebay and report these damn fakes.

Then again, who cares if some dope from SC wants to blow $200 on a $25 rep cart? Maybe we should be raking the newbies over the coals...

hmmmmmmm. (check it out: item #8285643767)

It seems to happen fairly frequently actually. I seem to think that the people that are bidding it up so high are noobs and don't actually realize that it's a reproduction of the Japanese game.

He does say in his auction that it is a reproduction. He just adds enough other stuff about how you won't be able to find it in a store to cover it.

I hope this auction saves some unsuspecting bidders from losing some $$$ when they really shouldn't.

    Impossible.

Only authorized bidders can bid. As you can imagine, nobody will be authorized.

Hey- Leon, I bought a cart from you a year ago, and opened it up, just to see (btw, a little rubbing alcohol and the sharpie comes right off)... I asked this guy to open his cart and post an ebay pic of it and he started sending me long rambling messages-- like this one!

"there is nothing against the law by selling reproductions as long as you state what they are. if it was illegal then people wouldn't be able to make the games and sell them. not only that, I listed it as a repro and not a proto, proto types arn't allowed on ebay for one, and for two, I clearly stated it was a repro, if you know where to obtain a repro cheaper then cool, if not then whatever. stop trying to bash other peoples auctions just because you don't have a life. I am an honest seller and list nothing of the sort of selling a proto or a original, all I stated is, its a reproduction and it works! its a game that is on cart obtained from someone by trading online. Nothing you say or efforts you do will hold water because I listed it honestly and tell people what a reproduction is if asked! You can not get me in trouble for trying to make a profit off a game. I never said it was a proto, if people wanna pay big bucks for my game you are no one to stop them. thank you and have a nice life. I hope you get one, please stop emailing and harrassing me! this is the last time I will respond to your ludicris questions and comments!!!!!!!"

So, leon, et all, What's to stop ANYONE from making a stadium events and hocking it for $400 BIN? The info's readily avail online, no one posts the insides...

Hey leon, can you post a link to the original thread where everyone jumps on you for nesreproductions?

    Hi Zi..

    - rubbing alcohol will not take off the sharipie I use. Especially not off the EPROMs. But that's a different story.
    - ignore that seller. He has posted on nesworld.. and clearly stated that he's out to get the poor unsuspecting buyer. That's what prompted me to post that auction.
    - As far as stadium events go.. People can tell the difference between repro and real. All they have to do is open it up and see the inside (masked roms and eproms have different pinout).
    - I don't remember people ever jumping on nesreproductions here. Only place it went a bit nuts was over at assemblers. As I've always stated.. I'm not out to rip anyone off. I'm here to provide a service. That's all you pay for. The assembly service.
