    Default Anyone else own these?

I recently got these two carts, and I'm trying to figure out if they're rare or what.

First we have this thing. It's made by Thin Chen Corporation, which is also known as Sachen. I believe it's Taiwan Mahjong, at least according to that link. The back label says that the product code is 'SA-001', which is confirmed by said link.

The second cart is this one:

Apparently it's Chinese Chess, but again, there's little info on this. I've only found ONE site, and it's Japanese, apparently dedicated to reviewing pirate games.

Does anyone here own these games? Any clue how they play, how much they're worth, or if they even got English releases? I don't own a NES console, let alone a Famicom adaptor, so I really don't know much about these games.

(There's also that 72 cart I found, but it's late and I'll scan the label in the morning.)

Well, I'll have to correct you before Redeye stops by and say that Sachen shouldn't be called a pirate company. The second cartridge looks familiar; I believe I've seen pictures of it before.

In any case you've got a couple interesting but probably worthless games. I mean, who'd buy them aside from truly hardcore collectors? There's little play value in them unless you really like Chinese Checkers.

The cart on the top is Bonus Tiles Mahjong by Sachen. It was released in Taiwan since it's in a plastic box. Sachen releases outside of Taiwan are in cardboard boxes.

The second cart is Chinese Chess. It's a game made by TXC released by Micro Genius. It's probably from Taiwan also.

According to that Japanese site, it is a neat variation on shôgi, or Chinese chess, but puzzling since it does not correspond to the rules used in Japan. I have no idea if China or Taiwan uses another set of rules.

Dude, THANK YOU. I stumbled upon your site while looking, but didn't find the games in there. I didn't look too hard, though.

I also found the Sachen game on the DP database, but the database is down again... I do remember that it was valued at $20 loose, though, heh. It's up on eBay now. Hopefully I'll be able to make some money off it.

    Thanks.
