The first player port on my Genesis is non responsive. Is there any way to fix this without any heavy duty repair (i.e. soldering)?

not if there is bad joints / cracks in the housing.
if the control port is physically ok, it could be the RCDMS (is it rcdm's in megadrives?) and they will need to be swapped.
I opened the Sega up, and the broken port looks just like the second one. Is there a RCDMS for each port, or does one control them both?Originally Posted by Hammy
